| sooooo we have persevered and are still using our bg's and they are doing well now that eli has gone back to being skinny/long and they are no longer getting in his way agility-wise (nothing is!) but now our velcro is starting to go... so i'm looking for ideas on how to fix it - its the ends of all the velcro tabs that aren't really fluffy (we have been very good and used the laundry tabs) but they are curling outwards so they fold themselves back under elijah's vest...this is going to be a problem if they curl much further because the nappies will essentially undo themselves (no thanks!) what i think i need to do is replace all of the outer tabs on the nappies - but how??? does anyone have any ideas? perhaps i need to unpick all of the velcro, find another piece of velcro which is the same thickness/strength and sew it back on? my mad ninja sewing skills aren't up to that! anyone fancy doing it for me??? or perhaps more realistically anyone got any thoughts on how to save them? i'm not throwing £200 of nappies out cos of a bit of velcro! the tabs in the picture are curling outwards now...they are 'hooky' on the inside (to attach to the nappy) and 'loopy'/soft on the outside but it's quite thick hardwearing material...could i cut the equivalent? arrrgh, ideas please! |

| I have known people to change them to poppers
Basically take the velcro off and then attach poppers
I have a popper doberry thing and poppers - I could send it to you to have a go on one if you like?!
I'll find the page where someone explains how to do it |

| I read this post earlier but didn't have time to reply soz, but I was going to surgest the exact same thing as with the poppers. Velcro is good, but I know when Moo got to a certain age he was forever pulling the velcro appart and walking out of his nappy Thats when I invested in the popper type AIO's as they were harder for him to open Anyhoo, the answer to the above question^^^ http://www.dummy-mummy.co.uk/category_30/Polyacatel-Resin-Snaps-Size-20.htm Also, i'd complain to BG too You might get some freebies (us brits are renowned for complaining arn't we?? ) |

| Yeh as Zee says standard size is 20 - all the nappies I have use this size as I have made inserts etc and they all fit
Make sure you order more snaps than you need as it takes a bit of getting used to to get them pressed in straight! I used a bit of scrap material til I could do it well! |
