My OH is a git. All he kept saying was, oh your shit, how did you pass your test. the instructor must have been blind.

So obviously i drove even worse cos he upset me. then he carried on. then it started to rain and i asked him to show me how the wipers work, he said pull it towards you so i did so it washed the windows which left a mark and made the windscreen all blurry so i slowed down as i couldnt see and he started moaning i was going to slow. what was i supposed to do. he lent over to do the window wipers, guess what he couldnt get them working either. once we parked up he looked at them and got them working and went oh see they do work.

the car is a 1.6 the biggest i;ve ever driven, he kept telling me when to pull out.

I have to get used to this car. the bite point is different. he moans i'm changing gears to slow.

We got to go shopping tomorrow i think i'll go on my own

Your OH needs to shut the hell up!

There is NOTHING more annoying and distracting (dangerous!) than a passenger 'back seat driver' commenting the whole while.

Tell him that it really doesnt help that he is commenting in a negative way and that unless he can encourage you he should keep his beak out raarrrrrrrrr

it will jst take some time to get used to ur car i always take ages to get used to a new car
and ur oh shud jst leave u to it, it never helps if someone is in ur ear criticising everything ur doing

You need to be calm and feel secure when you are behind the wheel and when you have someone yapping at you and criticizing your driving...it makes you so uncomfortable! i told him. he's basically ignoring me.

he even said oh by the end of the week you'll be ok with the car. then we are in it. i started off fine. and he was ok.

it all started as i asked him to tell me how to save petrol.

kept saying i was riding the clutch i think if i was i would have been told off during my lessons. i've done nothing different.

i was fine in the car yesterday. and cos he upset me i get flipping kangaroo jumping i never do that.

i was nervous enough driving with him now i dont want to drive with him again

I would kick him out of the car and make him walk home

He's probably a bit miffed that you can drive and he can't and taking out on you, throw something at him next time!

he's sitting there like he's got the hump with me. i mean WTF is his problem

LOL..I think he's jealous! Now there are two of you drivers and he has to share the drivers seat. Also...some guys love when their woman is completely dependent on them for rides to and from places.

I remember a very similar arguement with my ex very well.

I actually just left him in the middle of a forest and made him walk back. Serves him right!

This is exactly how my hubby is, and has been since I passed my test 4 years ago!!! He even sits there and does the imaginary break, GRRRRRRR it's so infuriating!!!

I have just told him I am not under any circumstances going to drive with him next to me, I drive my car on my own or we both go in his.

I would say to him if he carries on from now on he can stay at home on his own!!! x

kelly ,, he is probably nursing his ego and really regretting losing his license , my OH has now got his license back but i refuse to have him on insurance as its way to pricy ,,, he can be a bit of a dik to x x
make him walk ,,, or if he requests a lift tell him to f off as clearly your a crap driver , why would he want to be in a car with you lol x

Kelly I would suggest he gets his shoes re-soled because he is going to wear them out with all the walking he will be doing

Since he doesn't have a valid driving licence he has the choice - your driving the way you choose to drive or walk.

Grrrrr at your OH!!!! I have been driving 10 years now and he always tells me when to pull out at junctions or comments on my speed etc!!!

Seriously tho, my Ex used to be like this with me and i drove worse with him in the car than i ever did on my own, he made me nervous!
