| How on earth do I stop Charlie from trying to turn over and crawl away if I'm changing his bum? It's mad he's so strong and if he's done a poo it'd bloody difficult to either not get it on yourself or him or the floor, carpet etc etc
I've tried distracting him and giving him a toy sometimes it works other times I'm having a fight with an 11 month old!!
Please help! |

| I have a few techniques because Izzy is TERRIBLE! Giving her things she can't normally have usually does the trick - toothpaste, thermometer etc If I can tell that wont work - I put a big towel on the cot mattress , and get some wet face cloths ready - stand her up take the nappy off and VERY quickly get the bum clean with the face clothes. It has to be very quick and so far has always worked and been a pretty tidy job! Its trying to get the clean nappy on that then the struggle |

| Thomas is awful too, he used to scream and cry and kick me but now it's just a case of trying to escape. I find the 'things he's not normally allowed' technique works well until nappy change is done and I have to take said object away and we have a major tantrum. I have to admit that I have now resorted to bribes in the form of a biscuit. Only for poo nappies and luckily Thomas only tends to do it once a day so not too bad. I still have to be mega prepared with the nappy folded out ready and a handful of wipes already out of the packet and sometimes i still have to hold him upside down by his legs to prevent it getting everywhere so not a fool proof method but works 9 times out of 10 xx |

| hehehe yes we've had the talc clouds too - she knows how to open pretty much everything, nothing is safe lol - last week I gave her my lipgloss (one of the long ones that have the stalky thing) well within about 10 seconds it was open and all over and up her nose! |

It is a nightmare now tho, i try giving her my phone or the tv remote too! I've been known to do exactly the same with my son, but so far Elleah has been happy with the lid from the sudocrem pot! |

| I taje her to the bathroom, get her to hold onto the bath and give her a bath toy , whip the nappy off, and hope she doesnt crawl off before i can wipe away the poo Works ok... but not foolproof! I often end up chasing her around after dealing with the poo, to get her nappy and trousers on. Sometimes, she is the other side of the house before she is dressed again, its a nightmare! Mandy xx |

| I change Wil standing up most of the time or if it is particularly messy I lie him over my knee face down so his bum is sticking up - he struggles but mum has stronger will power than Wil |

| I must have an odd child because she actually asks to have her 'bumbum' done, she gets the change mat, climbs on the sofa to get to the drawer, gets a nappy and the wipes and then lays down waiting This sounds great but it's not when she has only just had it done and her nappy is still clean xx |
