seriousley, like the ones who swear and shout at their kids in the middl of a shop for no reason, or walking down the street with a child in one arm and a can in the other?
went into the shop today, woman stumbles out with a can in one hand and holding her daughters hand with the other, asks me if i have a lighter in a sluured voice then stumbles off...i mean she has to cross a mainroad in that state with a child. its discusting Mad

I think you should be charged with being drunk in charge of a child - just like you can with a car or a bike!

I cant stand people who shout horrible words at kiddlywinks, its so sad!

Some people shouldn't have kids.

My mum works at a school and there is a little girl who they are not allowed to let go every evening until the mother has been checked by the school nurse as she is a drinker.

The other week she turned up so drunk... In her car, expecting to take her home. They made her get a taxi.

Shocking x

it bugs the hell out of me!

no offence to people in council estates but...we have big tower blocks across the road and all you ever see is dad's pushing prams with a can in one hand, or hear mums screaming at a kid while dragging them so hard the poor lil legs can barely keep up and most of them do go into the blocks Sad

we get some pretty nasty looks at times because we (moreso hubby) are really heavily tattooed - we don't drink, are both university educated and not only got married but actually planned our child so....sometimes looks can be deceptive Smile

yes but im sure you dont shout abuse in elijah's face and walk round so pissed you cant even walk streight, their the ones im talking about. i would never presume someone is a bad parent (or person)from how they look, only how they act and some jsut shouldnt be allowed kids
makes you so sad for these children when yopu see the looks on their face Sad x

There is a difference between shouting at a child who is about to run off into the road to get their attention, and yelling get here you little b*stard for no apparant reason!! But I too hate to hear this. Sadly most of these kids are going to grow up and be the same with their kids

I agree. I'm sure we have all shouted at out children when they are in danger or have done something very wrong. Aimee hits our tv, and although it's screwed into the stand, i dont trust it and I really have had to shout at her for her own good.

Shouting at your kid to protect them is very different to being tanked up on booze x x

Oh these stories are so sad Sad

Laura, that's completely different, when you shout at Gary it's for his own safety because you love him.

We were walking through Tesco carpark last weekend and a bloke was there with a toddler and a little girl of about 4, this little girl was sobbing her heart out and this bloke kept shouting at her to 'shut the f up because she was pissing him off', then 2 seconds later grabbed her, flung her in the air and grabbed her by the waist and stormed back to his car. I can't stop thinking about that poor little thing, if he can do that in public then what does he do at home?? Crying or Very sad xx

it makes me REALLY mad when parents swear at their kids and demoralise them in public. The sad thing is, thats all these kids know and they then will probably grow up and repeat history with their own kids No

you're right olliesmammy

not the same thing but my brother called me tonight at 7pm...the girls(5 and 2) were screaming in the background and all he did was whinge that they were screaming...but if he either occupied them with attention or put them to bed properly(he just puts them in the room and leaves) then they'd be settled, calm and not screaming in the first place

not often no Wink haha

it's weird pinky, people make snap decisions (me included!) but it's not like we would tattoo the baby!

and kenty....i can only hope you wear something *under* the hoodie...otherwise that probably explains the looks Wink

So agree with this. OH and i are also heavily tattooed and both pierced too and ive got two tone hair and OH is a skinhead. I expect we look like thugs but i so rarely raise my voice to my lil c-fish, we both have responsible jobs, are actually quite gentle people (smirching aside) and being a parent is my world. I dont think ppl shud judge on appearances but i do agree being drunk in charge of a kid shud be criminal. If they are in bed and you tipple thats summat else but hell drinking in the day when you have kids? I couldnt even imagine it. I also hate swearing at kids. Yelling in fear is different but ive heard a mother call her 6 or 7 year old daughter a biatch for nagging for sweeties (like kids do ffs)

just bincase anyone has got the wrong end of the stick, the post is aimed at peoples behaviours, not apperances...people are so narrow minded if they are giving funny looks because your hair is dyed or you have tatoo's and things, hate how people are so quick to judge Mad so when you become a parent you are no longer allowed to express your personality???
seriousley ladies you should be the ones looking down on them for being stuck up their own arses and narrow minded
ps...i only have 2 tatoo's at the mo, but im sure there will be many more to come Laughing x
