| has anybody found that after a few months use they become useless? mine have all started leaking after 2-3 hours, when usually i only needed 2 nappies a day!!! I'm gna throw them i think but that leaves me with only 4 ittis which is no way enough to carry on being a cloth mum, so i have asked for some issy bears for xmas, but i may try some others when i can afford it... i dont even know where to start =o| i dont really want any more ittis because i am bored of the colours lol. x |

| it has to be as simple as it gets cos when i go to work oh will have to do it, and we have nowhere to keep them pre-wrapped so i dont think terries will be any good! x |

| I've been having the same problems lately too, Not leaking really bad, but after a couple of hours, they seem to make his vest really damp between the legs and sometimes actually at the front, but the terry inside isn't half as wet as i'd expect. So I've actually just started using them as a basic wrap rather than pockets. It seems to be when I stuff they leak, maybe the gaping due to stuffing am not sure but it doesn't seem to happen now. Terry's don't have to be folded all fancy you know, just a basic pad fold will work fine, then just pop it in the wrap so its all ready to use. Either that or keep an eye out on ebay or pre-loved for some decent ones |

| oh i see, well I use them with my bamboo inserts so I suppose they aren't as they were originally
I've never found them as reliable as my others, but they dont appear to have got worse, saying that you know I have too many nappies, so maybe they haven't been washed so many times as yours, even though I've had them longer? I'll see if they go downhill |

| lol i have 7 ebay and 4 itti so they are washed quite alot - i use the booster they come with and an extra bamboo one and they leak around the legs etc but they are not actually that wet, same as you zee. it annoys me how they vary in size tho, some of times are way too big for her and she's 10 months almost? does anybody have that prob too? x |

| i find the bambinex ones like that with alasdair but then i think it might just be how much padding i have??? and cause he is so mobile, i think they might shift a little. i have to say iv yet to have a leakage yet. thankfully! and i love how they hold a runny ben poo better than a disposable. |

| I meant to add - do you tumble dry Niccsy?
As the waterproof coating on the inside of nappies sometimes needs resealing, and the tumble drier will sort this out
I never thought before but I always finish mine in the tumbler
Also like Mario says 2-4 hours is the usual for cloth nappies, so you could try adding an insert |

Ooo, I never knew this..I don't tend to tumble dry if i've got the heating on as i'll just pop them on the airer. So does drying really help then? Is it on a cool tumble? |

| Well my cool is still quite warm! If your cool is really cool then it would need to be on high
Only needs 15-20 minutes on my cool setting - I never leave them in longer than that as it would probably melt them! |

| oh and also meant to say!!!
I had a few times when the vest was damp but the nappy not wet, but I've had it with not just that nappy - turns out it was cos my vests were a little bit small (12/18mth) and they were riding up and sort of getting stuck between her leg and the nappy, and it was causing the nappy to wick, sometimes it wetted her trousers too. It was driving me mad cos it was happening really quite soon, like an hour and the vest was damp.
I've now changed to using 'big girl' vests (rather than poppered ones) and her trousers haven't been damp or wet since and the nappys are perfectly dry on the edge too! |

| Oh great Zee!
I got some more big girl vests from Ethel Austin, don't know if you have one there, but they have 20% off everything and 2 vests are only £2.50 normally anyway!
I had to get 2-3 as that was the smallest they did - but they fit fine! |

| George at asda dont do loads of em but you can usually find a packet or two of 12-18 and 18-24. Might put c into her 18-24s then and see if it helps prevent the leakage. Ive often found i have to change up vests well before i change up anything else cos of the fluff anyways and go get her some big girl vests too. Maybe between that, the new liners ive bought, the nice bamboo from ms evans and these vests i can be leak free. |
