PostSubject: Taking fishy to docs UPDATED   Taking fishy to docs UPDATED EmptyTue Oct 12, 2010 11:44 pm

Shes still rattling away well in her chest and woke this am at 630 screaming and inconsolable, took ages of me just holding her tight against me in our bed and singing Baby Mine to her for her to calm down then she had her milk. I know its prob a virus but its dragging on, its been 4 days of being chesty now and a week of being non specifically unwell before that and shes still hot and chesty and having a meltdown about the slightest thing. Temps only coming up about 37.5 though she feels burning hot. Finally getting some food in her though even if it is just cheese spread sarnies and organix crisps

Poor C. Always best to get them checked, even if all it achieves is putting your mind at rest. A double check of the temp by the doctor would be good too, hopefully she lets him do it though!

Hope she better soon and is back to her happy bubbly self soon. x

Well took her for 2.50 after a 2 hour nap. She saw the nurse practitioner who listened to her chest and said it was hard to hear anything cos Caelyn was giving her what for the whole time and looked in her ears and did her temp. Temp was fine though id given her calpol 30 mins before so she said it would be anyway. She said she could see she was pale and 'just not quite right' (shes fair anyway and has a tiny face but shes all eyes right now) and asked if she was behaving any different and i said totally as shes usually happy and a complete livewire but is currently miserable and clingy and she not eating and sleeping loads.

She said it could be viral but noticed her right inner ear is red and thinks shes got an ear infection thats just kinda spread to her nose and then onto her chest and so she generally feels just crud. Shes given her a week of amoxyl 5mls 3 times a day and said if shes still not right by end of week to ring and she will see her again friday.

So bit late to get 2 doses of amoxyl in her today so going to carry on with calpol for now and start her with her 1st dose at bedtime and shes getting free run of cbeebies this afternoon lol.

Awww glad to hear that the docs have prescribed anti B's, I've found when Bethany has had to have these usually within 24-48 hours she is back on top form. although you will know this. Feel like I'm preaching to the converted with you being a nurse!!
