Just been on local news that GPs are urging everyone in my area to get vaccinated as there is a bad outbreak. 8 people have caught it this week and none were vaccinated....

Now I feel bad . I got a phonecall on Monday from GP about booking Caitlins MMR for today. I turned it down as she getting used to yoghurt this week and didnt want something else in her system that might cause a reaction & confuse things. Asked to book for next week and apparently clinics are random and they will put my name on a list to ring next time...

How frickin crap will I feel now if she gets measles? I wish they had told me about the outbreak, im sure they knew about it on Monday....

i'd give them a call in the morning and ask them for an appointment and say you would like it sooner because of the outbreak, if its on the news they going to have a few parents calling so might have to put extra clinics on to cope with demand.

i'd have done the same hun, its unusual they calling normally its a letter in the post, and if they knew there was an outbreak they should have said something.
