| Well day one she went to bed without her dummy but ended up giving it to her at 2am then she had it yesterday afternoon when she got all upset cos she hadnt had a nap. Last night she went to bed without it and when she fussed at midnight just gave her bedtime bunny instead and she accepted it and turned over and went to sleep. 11 hours sleep no dummy! And she woke up in a lovely mood this morning. So we have packed her off to the childminders without it but with her rabbit instead. Im going for a kip in a minute and when i get up I am doing an amnesty of the whole house and hiding the lot and if she gets through another night or two without it am going to do a proper disposal of them all and let her have her guitar santa was bringing her early for being such a big girl. We have decided to drop the bottle idea for now as she wasnt ready for it and it was causing loads of problems and she has done this without a fuss so is obviously ready to go without her dummy. So bottles staying for now but dummys going, im happy to take that in trade and try bottles again in a couple of months. Can't believe this is the easy one though, we thought we would have to take her dummy away and have a miserable week of it, we never expected her to just give them up on her own. Clever girl God shes not a baby anymore |

| Well done Little Chicken!! Sometimes they just surprise you with what they want to do! She had obviously decided that dummies just aren't cool anymore! Aron did the same sort of thing when he was about 3 when I went out one night and Mum couldn't find a dummy and that was that! He feel asleep while she was looking for one and then never bothered again!

| No mate molars can come in before canines, c had the 4 front ones top and 4 bottom front ones now and 4 molars with a gap where canines not come through yet. I think she might have a crack at canines next though as the gums look white though not swollen yet. Shes doing better, shes been on amoxycillin for 3 or 4 days now and shes much perkier, running around and playing and falling over - she bruised her face on the stair gate yesterday so we seem to have resumed status quo! Which is why im even mor esurprised shes done this though im not complaining, just hope my OH doesnt cave into her if she does decide to have a fuss later down the line as having got this far id like to see it through now |

| lol @ the status quo - I'm going to have to reassure hubby that girls can rough and tumble too, he's convinced otherwise! I only ask re:teeth as when bean's 4 molars came through he went off dummies for a while - would start with one, then fuss and get rid - but it was very hit and miss (fuss with it one day, fine with it and wanting one the next). If we'd have had a clear run we'd have used the time to pinch them away too We've got... (fingers and toes out...) 16 teeth so far - but I was hoping on a good time gap now until the back molars come through - *off to google* Glad to hear she's doing better x |

PMSL send him round to spend 20 mins with C, she's change his mind she puts a lot of boys to shame. Well we did have a 'wobble' this afternoon as she fell asleep in car and when we got home she woke up and couldnt get her back to sleep so she ended up having a msaaive tantrum from being overtired. Usually id let her have a dummy for half an hour to settle her but i figured it was a shame to waste having got this far so I put her favourite disney cd on and sang Baby Mine to her which settles her anyway then we rang Daddy for a chat and Greebo climbed up and joined us for a cuddle and eventually she settled on her own and was happy to have a snack and a drink and is now hooning around with her football. Hurrah! Is it stupid im kinda proud of the two of us for not caving in. I think we might have cracked it |
