"I don't want a fat child. Getting an eating disorder like anorexia would be preferable. Being overweight dominates my life. I don't want Corleigh to be like me."

Surely that should be classed as a form of child abuse? How can she go public with those sorts of comments and not have SS on her doorstep in a flash?

I think it is in Closer this week so I will be buying it to read more. What a silly attitude. She should know that a girl of her daughter's age needs plenty of calories to grow!
On a diet a 2 is ridiculous!!!
I understand that she has concerns about her weight and her daughter gaining weight like her but for goodness sake. Portion control! I think some parents need classes on a balanced meal.

TBH I think she should be more careful with what she eats herself - eating that will probably knick her down dead sooner rather than later - so her daughter is going to be really grateful to her for that isnt she!

i agree the mum is disgusting and needs the kid taken off her as it's abuse...

BUT i dont agree with this comment...

lily-ann can't move, she can't crawl, can only roll to her stomach, can't walk or anything and she started getting very overweight...n her first birthday she weighed 30lbs and the hv's just told us she's overweight, no actual help....so i put her on a calorie/fat controlled diet...she still ate plenty and got all the vitamins she needed but it did work and she is now a perfect weight...so there are exceptions

I do think that's child abuse, if she doesn't want her daughter to be like her then be a good role model, change her eating habits and lifestyle. Its terrible because that little girl will have a lifetime of hang ups because of it.

Oh Kenty, of course there are exceptions and what you did was in Lilly-Ann's interest because you care and was worried about her HEALTH (not what she looked like), and obviously you did the right thing - noone would disagree I'm sure.

What this woman is doing is absolutely disgusting, she is not giving her daughter the correct amount of calories because she is worried about what she will LOOK like - it is a form of child abuse. I just hope to god that that gorgeous little girl doesn't develop an eating disorder when she gets older No

See kenty i do agree with this comment. You had a specific reason to need to control Lily Anns weight and sounds like you have done right by her but a 2 year old who is mobile should not need to be on a diet and in these circumstances as described it is not only ridiculous but dangerous.

And this woman disgusts me. If you are going to teach your children good eating habits you start at the source. For her to give the daughter half the calories she should be having whilst stuffing her face like a heifer she is cruel as well as stupid and i hope her child is taken off her because she is breeding an eating disorder and doesnt even seem to care. I am overweight but i make a real effort now as i do not want caelyn to be the same

i do agree with you...to me that is child abuse...the poor child isn't even allowed to friends places incase she has 'junk' but she can fill her face with the stuff all day long!! i really think social services should be in there

i was just trying to point out that there are exceptions

Oh def hon and nobody would doubt you did the right thing for lumpy but like i say thats a different case as she struggles with mobility so isnt burning it off. Plus you dont sit filling your face with shit while depriving her of same xxx

Kenty: You are in a totaly different situation. Lumpy is an exception and is very lucky to have a wonderful mummy like you - Lewis is too Very Happy

Her daughter is obviously mobile and doesn't look to have anything wrong with her at all.
Shocking behaviour from a mother
