| Sorry if this is in the the wrong section, need some advice.
Hannah has had a poorly eye for a long time it weeps and keeps getting infection in it (goes a bright yellow gunge) and her eye goes all sore underneath from the weeping it makes a bright red sore under her eye. I have been numerous times to drs and they dont seem too bothered they have sent samples of gunge off and its not anything from the tests results. I went yesterday and they have given me some Flucloxacillin in a liquid form, we have had 2 sets of eye cream stuff and she was allergic to one and the other doesnt seem to have done anything.
Well this stuff tastes rank and thats putting it nicely I have got to give her 5mls 4 times a day an hour beforefood or on an empty stomach, I have tried with a syringe which worked 1sttime but she now realises im trying to give her stuff that tastes horrible andlast night refused her bottle after me trying to give her it, this morning Imixed it with a beaker juice and she took a bit but then again realised it wasthis rank stuff and refused her bottle again after. Im stuck as how else to getit in her and 4 times a day LI really want to get her eye better as its upsetting when ppl look at her andits gone all gungy I swear they think im a bad mum who lets their daughter goround with a manky eye L Im going to ring the chemist later to see what they suggestbut surely they could of mixed it with something that had some kind of flavour? Has anyone any tips on how to get it in her L im feeling like imletting her down just leaving it. xx |

| Aimee is pretty good at taking her meds, but I think she is used to it. It is pretty rank though, so I always make sure I have a fruity drink on hand ready for when she has had it. If you can try the sringe again, pop the medicine in her cheek area so she doesnt taste the medicine on her taste buds xxx |

| No real tips here have just had c on amoxyl for a week and she hated it and all i could do was hold her tight against me and make her have it. After the first few doses she realised she was going to have to have it and fought less. I lie her like im going to bottle feed her with her right arm under my left arm pit and my left arm behind her back holding her left arm close to her body. I use to crook of my elbow to steady her head so we dont both end up covered it in. |

| Might be a long shot but have you tried mixing it with some Fruit Pura? That's quite strong and most seem to like it. I have to say though I think you'll probably end up having to make her take it like Mario suggested. I have to do that with Amelia and Calpol as she doesn't like it |

| Hi hun, Abbie had antib's a few weeks ago and I found the easiest thing (as hard as it sounds), is to litteraly hold her tight (not too easy when you are heavy pg) and when you put it in her mouth try put it down the inside of her cheek, it makes it harder for her to spit it out. Hope she is better soon xx |
