Gah...I am so pissed atm. A friend of mine who lives in town here..who has 4 horrible kids and a bum dope smoker of a husband, has just tried to invite herself over to my house tomorrow night for a "break." I have had her over here quite a few times..providing food..booze and conversation..serving her nibs, while still having my kids under my feet wearing me out. Now..correct me if I am wrong...do I have "*$%£ use me" stamped on my forehead? She doesn't drive(have offered to help her get her drivers) and have had to taxi her back and forth as well...not to mention having to run to the emergency room for her daughter and sit there with her with Makynlee being exposed to God knows what, waiting for tests to be ran, because her loser husband wouldn't take time off work to help. I have been to her house once..and trust me..that is enough! Her near 3 year old daughter runs the house buck nekkid rubbing her bung hole on everything..and her other kids are wild animals. One child is Madisyn's age..and I refuse to have over here because she has extremely sticky fingers..she tried to steal Madisyn's Medical Alert necklace along with several other items of jewelry that I had in my room. Her son, is violent! He even tries to kick my ass! I like her..I really do, but I have had no husband for the past few weeks...a houseful of kids a long to-do list as Halloween is approaching..so I said NO nicely to her present request. Now..she is trying to guilt me...Leave me the hell alone ffs! I want to be a hermit living in a cave with friends like this!!! Why am I a loser friend magnet...why?

It's crap when you have friends like that. I have got friends who's kids come to my house and wreck it. If my own kids can have respect in it, then I would expect others to do the same.

Your friend probably doesn't even realise what she is like. Unfortunately, other than avoiding her I can't think of much else you can do x

Thankfully i have no friends like that! I would put ur foot down and keep it down though. Uve got enough to do with out baby sitting ur friend!

Jen i used to have friends like that that are now ex friends. If she cant respect your house enough to make her kids behave then she doesnt deserve to come over. Or to have a friend like you xxx

One day she came round didnt feel well, I went to collect my boys from school and was dumped with her two whilst she dozed on my sofa ffs!!!
I cleared her out quite quickly

Oh Jen, just look back over what you've written and you'll see why she turns to you and keeps coming back. You have done so much for her when she can't be assed to do it for herself!

I know people can get stuck in a rut sometimes (heaven knows I have) and find it hard to know exactly what to do and how to get out of it, but there comes a time where we all have to take responsibility for our own lives and do something about it!! She quite clearly hasn't and while she has you there to pick up the pieces, she won't!

I think you have enough on your plate with your own family and good friends, without trying to help her. I know you don't want to be nasty to her but I think you should be firm and say 'NO MORE!' or she will keep coming back.

i have had plenty of freinds like that .. and i still do now now i dont mind most times i like to be a good freind but it does wear you down after a while i have tons of people that come to my house withthere kids i always feed them and my freinds and but i go to there and its not recipicated and i always leave around lunch time to get my kids food and they offer..also i have freinds with kids that are very naughty and can be very destructive and spiteful and there parents dont tell them off and my kids are always told of for being mean or naughty .. so it look so unfair on mine whilest there kids get away with blue murder!! it ver frustrating.. it awful as although i liek the parents i dont always liek the kids haha which makes things strained with the kids around

i got a mate at work who would call me after work to talk about her probs with work and cases and it would so get me down, then she started calling first thing in th emorning.

after a while russ threatened to take phone off me and tell her to get lost if i didnt tell manager, i told my manager and it stopped for a while.

we got me a new phone and she doesnt have the number russ and my manager would kill me if i gave it her.

but its about being taken advantage off when you got enough going on yourself. dont feel guilty hun you done the right thing

I know how hard it is to put 'friends' off especially when they guilt trip you but if you back down now she will only do it again but more. Stick to your guns hun and don't let her come round, hopefully she will get the message xxx
