| hmmm hes not into football, because his dad isnt! which in a way im quite glad about, but then again i think every little boy should enjoy having a kick about with their friends so maybe something like this would encourage him to like it, ot is that unfair?? do you think i should leave it abit longer until they are old enough to decide for themselves what they want to do? having said that though how will they know if they like it or not if they arent encouraged to try it! Arghhhh! my oh suggested something like moto cross but i think thats abit extreme at 3 years old! but still after 5 years, i cant tell if hes joking or not x |

| Lol
My bro was never really into football cos my dad wasn't..but I still think its good to at least try, like you say.
Maybe just keep an eye on what toys are his faves and get some idea's from that.
I think at this age, try a bit of anything and everything and see which he enjoys the most. I tried a bit of everything from horse riding, ice skating and so on, but was a bit older at the time. |

| I've enquired about enrolling my lo in to a gymastics class. It's at the back of a local soft play centre and from what I've seen the ones who go really enjoy it. I don't expect her to be jumping the horse, or whatever it's called, I just think it'd be something we'd enjoy doing together (parents go to the classes with the younger ones), then once she's older if she wanted to carry it on going alone she can. |

| hannah is enrolled in a gymnastics class. it was 23 pounds for an 8 week block and she will move up as she gets better.
she also goes swimming once a week but its not a club or anything just fun time with mum and dad.
id love to do some sort of toddler yoga with her though might look into that

| I was only talking to OH about this today. I already encourage a love of horses and hope one day she'll decide that she wants to ride. I'm going to look into baby ballet classes too as we already do pointy toes, saute's and pour des bra's LOL |

| gymnastics was another one i was thinking of doing but until shes 4 theres not really alot they can do with them i believe. but saying that i suppose dancing is just the same. i could always try her with both and see if she like either of them? my kids dont like animals but thats probably my fault as i dont, although i did do riding lessons myself when i was younger. i think im going to try Kacey with dancing and gymnastics, im just stuck on what to do with Ethan
thanks for all the replies, keep them coming! xx |

| at hannahs gymnastics they do some stretching exercises. then the practice roly polys. then they use the aparatus and then wind down time which is stretching again and song time. she loves it and when she comes home she even naps because its worn her out so its a huge bonus for me! |

| I really want to get Caitlin into gymnastics. Does anyone know what age tumble tots starts at? I think until they 2/3 alot of places dont take them. Girls Brigade (GB) is another one but they only take them from the sept after ther are potty trained so she prob be 3....
Boxing is another think id thought about randomly (Im talking when she 8/9). I like the idea of her doing somthing to keep fit, that isnt stereotypically girly & builds her self esteem. |

| Just thought for Ethan what about scouts/BB, or a drama club eg (debutots, might be just a local thing though...) any art classes? My local arts centre runs one off workshops most Saturdays for different ages, prob quite expensive though to go every week....
Hmmmm you could check out the local notices in tesco's on the board behind the tills. I was amazed at the different things going on in my town that I didnt know about. Lots of independant people hire rooms in leisure centres and run classes. |

| What a great post... it has just made me pull my finger out of my bum to sort something out for Aimee.
I have just emailed a lady so she can start taking music classes in January (when I am off work on mat leave).
I think I will look at taking her to tumbletots too... boy, it does add up though!
