Ive been giving c the stage 1 pouches as a snack as they are about the right amount, she loves em and they are full of fruit and veg so i dont feel so bad if all i can get her to eat at main meals is sausages or cous cous but damn do they have to cost so much

£1 per pouch! I only give one a day but thats still 30 odd quid a month if i did it every day. I do anyway cos idrather she ate well but if anyone knows of a good inexpensive version or any offers id be grateful!!!

Hmmm, how about the fruit flakes? (although I'm sure you've mentioned those before), fruit sticks (by Humzingers - Libby loves them), or the fruit pots (Cow & Gate ones), can't really think of anything else at the mo - but I'll try xx

I cant think of anything apart from fruit pots (about 40p each) or making your own smoothie type things with a blender...
What about Frubes (petis filous in a tube)? Im sure you could get supermarket brand ones.

How much They had them for 3/4 for £1 or 30p ish each at the asda baby event! Stock up next time

I used them lots when weaning. Caitlin loved them, flavours can be a bit odd though. Lots of mums at baby group used them out and about because you could just squeeze them on to a spoon, you can eat hot or cold. I fed Caitlin them from a bowl but guessing older tots could suck them out.

I use them when we're out and about but only occasionally as they're ridculously expensive.

oh yes I've seen them, I did wonder why they had a kinda spout thingy!

they are only fruit not veg but heinz and and cow and gate make fruit pouches, they are like the fruit pots but in the same sort of pouches they are about £1.60 for x90ish grams so a bit cheaper than the ellas kitchen ones!! We keep them in the change bag as a snack

Asda have the DOLE ones on offer 4x90g for £1 - like wrigs says they're only fruit not veg but still good stuff.

I used to get the normal fruit pots and stick a straw in the lid and let Thomas suck them through a straw - works out a lot cheaper.

I brought callum some thing similar frm sains yesterday to get more fruit in him there frutapura
by cow and gate 12months + 4 x 90gms for £140ish which i thought was quite good since im paying near enough £2 for fruit pot custards and things xx

hmmm, whilst I can see the advantage for younger children we just take a banana, grapes or satsumas with us, or if it is a meal out somewhere where I don't think he'll eat well due to distractions he might get his favourite, blended mango, which I freeze in little pots. I used to slice the banana into a little pot but now I just break it into pieces; I still tend to cut the grapes in half as if they can't roll they are less likely to end up on the floor.

I have bought fruit pots once - when we had a voucher which made them about half price, and we were on a self-catering holiday.

Managed to get him to have satsumas and water whilst we had capuccinos and chocolate brownies in the teashop at the farm this week, don't suppose that we'll get away with that much longer, though he does love satsumas, we have to keep them hidden unless he's about to get one.

ATM we are stocked on the Dole ones that are 4 for £1 in Asda xxxx
