Im not sure if Im going to try this time - Hannah was a nightmare she would latch on but not suck for long and ended up going to sleep, we tried everything even stripping her off so she was just in her nappy and couldnt get too comfy but there was no stopping her turns out she isnt a fan of milk anyway. I would like to give it a go for the 1st few months at least but im not going to beat myself up about it like I did with Hannah

i need a bit of advice ladies, over the past few weeks ava's really started chomping, ive been left with bruises on more than one occasion. I delatch her and try again but its got really uncomfortable, ive never had any problems before now, im not sure whether it's related to teething. Any advice?

Hey Pinky! Makynlee did/does this as well, and it stinking hurts sometimes! Sounds like she is just using your nipple as a dummy instead of actually feeding. Teething also makes them want to chew and chomp more often. When she does this..I just delatch and put her on the other side to give the wounded boob a break.

oliver went through a stage like this too, i would also just unlatch him then reatatch him to the other side. tbh i dont think he's gone through teething yet he has no teeth anyway.
does ava have a dummy?? x

howdy! can i join too puhlease? i am finally enjoying bf (took 12 weeks!) but now we seem to *finally* have the thrush under control it doesnt hurt.....its bloody easy when it isnt sore innit

aww hi and welcome mariblake, yes it took me around 12 weeks to get comfy, what with the early soreness then thrush which wouldnt shift...glad you finally enjoying it, bet you so proud to get this far, keep up the good work xx

im really pleased elijah and I went to a baby massage class (we have been waiting weeks to go) and the other mummies were bf so I did too - I'm so influenced by peer pressure but im really pleased I did it - its the most public bf I have managed so far yay!

thats great mari funnily enough it was when i went to baby massage that i started in public, its a lot easier when you know youre not going to get any opposition x go you

I am sat here remembering all the stress I went through with Aron to BF and hoping this monkey is like Jake and a nice easy bubs to BF!!!
