Will put them up Monday! Tonight is gonna be a gong show! Had some technical difficulties last night with the trial run, but hopefully everything will run smoothly tonite! One of our fog machines died, the wind blew everything all over the place..and was worried sick about the decorations being vandalized. The inflatable haunted house collapsed on itself because of the wind and blew down the hovering ghost and fortune teller head. My spider webs need adjustment too. Ran out of time to do the kids bedroom windows. This year, the weather is amazing..plus 10 tonight and calm! xxx

do you know what?? ive not been keen on Halloween for a few years because of the people and children who take advantage of peoples good nature....... BUT i think i have been won over. 3 kids called at our house tonight so i begrudgingly got 3 packs of Monster Munch and went to the door. When i saw the smile on their faces and especially as they all said "thankyou" it really made me smile to see that they were enjoying themselves. I have been converted ( i think ) xx

Wheyhey Meg, I'm actually shocked all the kids I've had have said thank you and no teens yet, just the liitlies!

We have lived in town for almost 4 years now, and never had a single one come to the house! They just don't do it much here!

We have had loads tonight had to go to the shop and buy more sweets.

But they have all said thankyou and most of them said Happy Halloween too, bless em xx

We had friends round and had a pumpkin outfit for Libby but she kept taking it off!!

We NEVER get trick or treaters, we live in a bungalow and I reckon people must think that old people live here so they don't want to bother us, we buy little bags of Haribo just in case and then I have to eat them ( )

Wow Jen! You really have gone to so much trouble, I feel a bit of a misery now!

I do it for 3 reasons..1-My kids love it! 2- Every single kid we know looks forward to coming to our house and running thru the haunted house, and 3 - It makes me feel good to do something for the neighborhood. It's alot of work, but my payoff is seeing their faces when they come to the door. Halloween is huge over here, and the only ones who do not celebrate it here are the Jehovah's. I've read comments about people comparing it to begging, it's so not that, it's about letting kids be kids and have some fun. Everyone loves to dress up and pretend, and this is the one time of the year that everyone can do it out in public! The treats are for those who bother to make the effort and are rewarded as such. yep i agree I think it's absurd to class it as begging, we did it when we were kids and loved it even when you only got a few pennies.

I remember going to a halloween party on an American Army base with my family, it was brilliant! It really is such a big thing over your side of the pond! They don't even have a smidgin of the things you guys can buy over here!

We went to Disney world one Halloween and OMG it was AMAZING!!!! Have to say even the supermarkets etc put the uk to shame lol
