Just wondering if anyone has stopped them yet? And if so when did you do it? What made you stop them napping?

Yesterday and today Libby has gone without a nap at all during the day, yesterday she got a bit grumpy at about 4ish but today she has been absolutely fine and went to sleep straight away as well at 7pm (I thought she might struggle due to being over tired).

Simon is going to put her down at 1 as normal tomorrow and see if she does sleep but I'm thinking it might be time to stop naps altogether now?

xx

Yeah I know what you mean, Simon likes her napping too because he gets to have a nap himself Laughing

Yesterday she didn't get one because we were out and by the time we got home it was too late but today we put her down (well we told her it was bedtime and she goes herself etc.) but she was still wide awake and chatting 45 mins later whereas normally she would be asleep within 15 mins.

I suppose it's a case of try it and see xx

Hehe Terri!! See it doesn't make any difference to me because she naps when I'm at work but I'll probably be wishing for it when I'm on maternity leave Laughing

Yeah that does make sense Char - I'll have to see how it goes

Thank you!!! xx

Not yet for Izzy

When she is at my MILs she stays awake til I pick her up, which can be about 5...and she then has a long sleep..but she will have been grumpy for a few hours (yet my MIL wont put her upstairs!)

So I would rather keep putting her down for naps and her be happy the time she is awake.

She has a midday nap of about an hour, and one about 5pm for an hour or so usually.

Oliver still has his naps too, although he can go without and be fine. Yesterday he went with out (the one day I wanted him to nap due to the clock adjustments) but today he went down no fuss. He sleeps a good 2hrs+ so for him to cut that out full time, I don't think he's quite ready.

My friends LO's (will be 3 next march) and he's still napping, I suppose it comes down to the individual.

Bean has a nap from 2pm - at least until 3pm but can be up to 4pm sometimes.

I am really REALLY hoping this continues until after he's 2 anyway - so he's still napping when baby arrives.

He sleeps about 11/12 hours at night xx

Aimee loves her midday nap. She is normally always ready for it, and I just say 'night night' and she is out like a light within minutes. She can nap anything from 2-3 hours.

I am hoping it continues a little longer so that I can get into a routine with the new baby too x

Thanks everyone.

Well Simon put her down at 1:30pm yesterday and she slept til 2:45pm, she went to bed at 7pm as normal and slept til 7:30am so I think she still needs it - but at least if we are busy at the weekends we know she can also go without.

xx
