Ok..I just did something extremely childish and totally out of character for me. I will explain first..then judge me. After busting my ass yesterday and today..dealing with a sick baby all week and pretty much raising the kids all by myself the past few months...I broke down. Tonight of all nights, Shayne pissed me off beyond reason. During the evening of constant running around for the kids..making sure everything is running correctly, I was hoping that the latter part of the evening would be peaceful. Shayne decides at about 7ish our time to take Madisyn for round two of trick o treating, which I being distracted with Makynlee and answering the door plus sorting out decoration issues... didn't think much of it at the time. 3 hours later..he waltzes in the door with her. After an hour of them being gone..I started to get worried, 2 hours in..I was thinking of calling ppl. to figure out if they have seen them (Madisyn had on her Halloween costume with only a light coat, and it was COLD out plus she didn't have her insulin) 3 hours..I was in a sheer state of panic..then finally they came home. I asked him where he was and he lied. Madisyn told me where they were..he took her over to his piece of shit friends(another story in itself) house and had a few more beer. He told Madisyn to not tell me anything!!! I was so mad..I just walked up to him and slapped him in the face! It didn't even phase him. He just walked away and got himself ready for bed. Meanwhile..I had to take down decorations and get the girls in bed. I managed to do it all, but was fuming the entire time...here's the childish part...I went to the fridge..found a bottle of Thai fish sauce...and poured it in his truck! This stuff stinks! I have to admit, it made me feel so much better! Ladies..I am getting to my wits end with him. He is turning into a selfish..neglectful..thoughtless arrogant prick! If this keeps up..I'm ready to leave! I don't know what to do anymore.

Oh hon. Not a nice night for you. And you were so looking forward to halloween too. I don't blame you. shayne has been absent for ages and you have been working like a trojan caring for the kids esp while Maky has been so poorly too. It was downright out of order for him to go out drinking on your family night especially taking his 8 year old daughter with him AND encouraging her to lie to her mom.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it all, he might be in a different humour once he has had a chance to reflect on his actions overnight, its never worth especting someone with a few beers in them to feel remorseful. I know from experience that if anything they are more argumentative at that point. Wait til hes had some sleep and see how he reacts then. And you probably need to lay it all out for him just how much of a toll its taking on you. From what you have told me hes a reasonable guy who f-ed up big stylee tonight and I hope he listens.

As for the sauce? Yes childish, however, also rather funny and pure genius as revenge goes. See how he reacts in the morning before you decide whether or not to fess up.

I would have been just as mad. 3 hrs is an extremely long time to be out TT'n, and to ask an 8 your old to lie & cover your ass is also extremely selfish & stupid. How much fun was maddy having over there? He was just meeting his own needs and not the childs.

You are bound to be stressed and at the edge. You are exhausted after macky being ill & preparing the house etc. It wasnt much to ask for a bit more support, actually is presence would have been a start. I too think id be capable of slapping Stuart in rage, its never happened yet but I dont think any differently of you for doing it. The fish sauce is amusing hun, sorry.

Hopefully after a good nights sleep you will be able to talk and iron a few issues out. Cant really offer any advice, just that we are all here for you and I definitley dont think badly of you. (((Hugs))) xxxx

He should not have had Maddy lie to you, thats downright wrong and not teaching her respect for mum! Also he was very irresponsible to take her out for so long without her insulin.

Jen i know how hard you have it on ya own chick, i am just the same, dont get so much as help with washing dishes! Any advice i gave you on that score will be from someone who doesnt make her hubby help so therefore pointless!

Yeh you are right to be furious, and yes very very childish of you to put the sauce in his truck BUT i certainly wouldnt tell him lol.

Kick his ass into gear chick, he seems a reasonable man (is that even possible for a man?) so hopefully he will listen.

Today..much better day. He is playing hooky from work and the kids are home from school..so he is spending much needed time with us. He is sucking up to me and the kids!! I confessed to the fish sauce...but I told him he deserved it because if he wanted to act "FISHY" he should damn well smell like it as well!

His truck frikken smells so bad, that when he rolled down his window to pay the lady at the waste disposal depot(garbage dump), she commented - Shheeewwweee! Peeeewwwwww! What is that horrible smell?? :lol:

OMG Hun, sorry you are having a shite time. Men can be such assholes sometimes, it seems like he has realised he was an arse though and is trying to make it up to you. I don't think he should have dragged maddy into it though. I know I would prefer my oh to just be honest even though it would piss me off at the time.

We both need to change some things, because currently..the way things are..it's not working very well. We need to find balance, and some time together that is quality. Our relationship is suffering with neglect and I do not like the person I became last night! 21 years and I want us to last another 50-60 God willing. Gonna be an early night full of family hugging and closeness, as we are all quite tender and need some heal time. I do love him, he is my life partner, and my best friend, we just need to remind each other of that and not make it a one-up contest. xxx
