A drawback to openness? _
PostSubject: A drawback to openness?   A drawback to openness? EmptyMon Nov 01, 2010 7:01 pm

We have started letting c in bathroom with us when we go wee wees so when she starts potty training shes got acclimatised to it, she comes in and faffs around with the potty while i wee. She still wont sit on it but maybe eventually

So yesterday i was having a wee and id given her some tissue to wipe her nose as i do every morning or she just shreds the loo roll

After having a wee i got some tissue and wiped meself, next thing is caelyn is coming over with her tissue trying to help!

I said no its ok honey mummy can do that herself thankyou so she took her tissue away and again and this time rubbed it on the front of her jeans like she was doing it herself.

Mad question i suppose but no real harm to letting her pretend to wipe herself is there? I figure she is just learning the process of what you do when you go a grown up wee wee but neil is now worried she will be fiddlign with her bits all the time

Is there such a thing as being too open or does that seem normal copying behaviour to you?

I think it's completely normal hun, I wouldn't worry about it.

As for watching Neil and playing with her bits - she'll probably soon realise she hasn't got the same bits as her daddy anyway Laughing xx

no totally normal!! this is what i did with mine to get em used to toilet, and holly even now walks in on me and tries to "help" lol - also tries to help scott, which he gets a bit embarrassed about lol.
and i think its good for children to have body awareness, coz it makes it a lot easier to tell them when they a bit older about the swimsuit rule and keeping their bodies safe! xXx

No problem at all - she will soon associate it with the loo and doing wee's so its not like she is always going to be rubbing herself lol

Izzy always plucks at her bits!

Sounds totally normal to me too.

Lisa - Aimee has started doing this too... I put her to bed one night last week, went back up as I could hear her running around and she was naked with no nappy on and pulling at her bits.
