kell the same happened to me ,, i called the epu and told them my story , they asked me to test again in 2 weeks then call them if still pos and could have still been hormones from m/c ( hich i knew it wasnt , i felt like you ) ,, they took me in for scan at what they thought would be 8 weeks and they were correct

were you scanned after m/c hun ? ,, reason i ask is , is there any chance you maybe lost a twin or just had a horrid horrid bleed ?

i would have been 10 weeks today

just seen what emma wrote ,,,i had my dark positive 4 weeks after m/c X X

do you think they are too dark then? or are they good?

I want to get the indicator one but i cant spend my money on it i need the money i have to last me until tuesday. though trev gets paid friday so might ask him to buy one.

there is not a chance its horomones left from mc is it? i dont want to set myself up for a fall. but then i only had very slight sympotms last time and theses are full on. i've not eaten properly today i feel so sick didnt eat my dinner yesterday i felt so sick and the sickness has got worse over the last 7 days

TBH Kell my first thoughts were what Emma and Michelle have said - I even showed Simon because the lines are so so dark for only 4 weeks gone (mine were barely noticable). I don't think it's leftover from the M/C - too much time has passed.

I really hope you get a scan soon hun so you know for sure but I would be very surprised if you are only 4 weeks.

Oh and no, if lines are dark then that's only a good thing!! xxx

its deffo not left over hormonas kelly they would be gone very quickly.. what i mean is ..if you concieved after your mc i doubt you would have a bfp yet leta alone one that dark!!..so i think maye you didnt mc and still preggers ... i do think you should call your docs tomoro or your epu and explain and get a scan asap x

i'm going to call my doctor tomorrow. he's on calls tomorrow afternoon (just online website so cool) am hoping he'll get me in for a scan

Congratulations! So happy for you . I had a pretty dark positive with Caitlin and the first time I tested I was about 5 wks. Im not sure how soon you can ovulate after a mc but from what the other girls have said maybe you could be 10 weeks, either way I hope its a sticky & im made up for you all!

Oh just remembered a girl I know had a bleed in aug (didnt think had mc just thought she hadnt conceived that month, got BFNs before bleed, then cpl weeks later felt sick at her bday, tested with a digital one & was 2-3 or 3+ which meant she had been pg when she had bleed. She had an early scan that showed 2 sacs but only one contained a baby. Consultant said it may have been twins, or may have been cells? she didnt want to think about it too much. Anyway she is now 13 wks pg and v.happy! AT her 13 wk scan there was no evidence of the 2nd sac, it just shows alot of pg's may start as twins but as v.few ppl get early scans we never know! (This is my friend btw who had a healthy pg and sadly lost her daughter a few hrs after delivery full term in June, im so happy for her). Sorry dont know if that was helpful, was just trying to show it is possible you could be further on than 4 wks. x

Aww Kel! I don't think a line can be 'too dark' hun - and defo don't think it's left over hormones.

Hope your doc can get you in for a scan quickly to confirm hun.

My aunty had what she thought was a m/c but still felt pg after weeks and kept telling the docs but they didn't believe her (this was 30 years ago). She eventually got through to them and they tested her and it turned out she had been carrying twins and had miscarried one but went on to have my happy and healthy cousin. Maybe something similar could've happened to you hun? or maybe you just have a good strong early bfp - either way - congratulations again!

Usually hormones from a mc are gone withint a fortnight is my understanding hon as thats what we work on when referring people to epu so if its been 5 weeks i wudnt say its leftover hormones hon so its either a brand new lil eggy getting comfy or you are still pg from original pg (either way how lovely).

If you see gp they might decide to send you for blood tests first to get an hcg level as my friend who is an epu nurse says if they scan with an hcg of less than 1000 theres still too little to see on the scan (1000 usually happens by 5-6 weeks) and will also give them an idea of whether its your previous preg as by 13 weeks the levels would be more like 25-288,000)
