my child has gone into a major tantrum that has been going on for about half an hour and i really dont know what to do seriousley someone help!!! 548646 iv tried leaving him, but dont want to leave him too long as he has a chest infection so feel guilty something might be wrong(dont think it is though as this is the 4th time he has done this now, but befor has been in the daytime)it is my fualt i woke him as he'd filled his nappy and he just wont go back down, iv tried comforting him but he's just smacking me, leaving him but he's just getting more hysterical...kicking about arching his back and stiffening up!! iv tried to bring im in my bed, he stopped for like 2 mins then started again and now i just dont know what to do?????? seriousley someone help!!! 406875

I think with all you've tried you need a change of scene and INTG or similar. Put something on TV that you know he'll like and try to gently distract him out of it. Give him a 15 mins or so and then start his bedtime routine again? Good luck Gemz xxxx

I agree with LisaG hun....get something to distract, either a toy, some juice, ir a programme until he calms down!

Give it a little while, and then restart! If you suspect anything maybe a dose of calpol xxx

thanx ladies, you must have replies when id just taken him downstairs...well he was still screaming for a while down stairs even after a drink but then started a big coughing fit and i mean really hacking bless must have really hurt his throat, then fell asleep in my arms, he sounds really wheezy so i think we will call back to the docs tomorrow because these antib's dont seem to be shifting the infection Sad whats worse is iv been sooo ill all day felt like i was dying and havent been able to keep anything down so im exhausted too...bloody winter coming with all these bugs seriousley someone help!!! 15967 x
