can't I just live my life as I want to without having to worry about stepkids, OH's ex and the feckin inlaws?! I have never felt more controlled in my life than what I do now and it's driving me beserk!!!!!

LOL! I'm just so sick of it being just me and Ollie because Stu has been summoned by one of them, I don't get to spend quality time with him because of them and there's nothing I can do about it

Yeah but theres nothing he can do because he works full time and then has the kids at the weekend and then she wants him to do this, that and the other and holds it against him if he doesnt do it. She reckons she's a nice ex that doesn't cause any trouble......pfffft yeah right!!

I think you need another word with him as ultimately it isn't fair on Ollie

I've been trying to get him to see it my way for years now but unfortunately he is such a sweet guy so does everything to keep the peace. I don't want to make him feel bad for being a good dad to his other 2 kids. He is a fantastic dad to Ollie, I can't fault him on that. I just wish that I could have some family time with MY family rather than it just being me and Ollie or me, Ollie, Stu, his kids, the inlaws etc. It's the quality time, just the 3 of us that I really crave

You need to really lay it all out for him hon or you will end up feeling resentful and thats not healthy

I agree that you need another chat and discuss a regular family (the 3 of you) time without the others! I know its difficult but you need that time and he will feel better for it too I am sure!
