| How weeks pregnant are you when your hCg levels go above 50,000? I bought a pregnancy test and it came back negative ( ) but the info leaflet said if your hCg levels are above 50,000 you may get a false negative. I'm seeing the Dr on Thurs morning so I'm hoping to get some more answers as to A) why I've not had a bleed yet and B) what the hell is going on with my body. It has been 11 weeks and 3 days since my last period and I think these "symptoms" I'm getting could be because of the chem preg playing havoc or the cyst on my l/s ovary (the dr I saw a few weeks ago said the cyst releases hormones that can affect the menstral cycle). Sorry about asking so many questions I need some BANDA wisdom xx |

| I hope you get some answers from the dr. Iv read before of people not knowing they are pg because they tested too late and got a false negative. It could be hormones though so dont want to get your hopes up, I dont fully understand chemical pregnancies. Must be a confusing time for you. Hugs x |

| Lisa that does kinda make sense as I would be 11 weeks and 3 days based on LMP which is almost 3 months preg. I think I might ask the Dr for a blood test as they are never wrong are they? It is a very confusing time for us both as we don't know whether to come or go. People have been asking me do you feel preg and the answer is yes and no because in some respects I do with symptoms but no at the same time as I'm refusing to get my hopes up and think the symptoms could be due to the chem preg, the cyst or both. I think I will defo ask for a blood test as that will give a definative yes or no. Thank-you both for answering my question and thank-you for the hugs x x x x |

| Good point Lisa, though your levels drop again at that stage according to that scale so maybe theres just a cpl weeks/mth or two that you can get false negatives. Im only going by the 50 000 on the leaflet and the scale above. Again, i dont mean to get hopes up. x Just saw your reply mummy2amiracle - yup a blood test sounds a good idea. x |

| At my Dr's you have to get a form from the Dr then take that to the outpatients blood test clinic at the hospital for a blood test it is alot of faffing about. The hospital is in the next county so a 2 mile hike to town to the bus stop to get a bus which only takes me half way pmsl (and another 1 mile hike to the hospital). I'm going to do it, I need to know either way. As far as I can understand if the result is 5 or less I am not preg and if it is 5 - 9.5 I'm going into the menopause? Any higher than 10 and I am preg? And if it is over 10 they'll do it again 48 hours later. Thank-you xxxx |

| Are you sure its not something happening with it being so soon after you lost your last little angel?
Within only being a few weeks since there might be side affects on your body that you think are Pg symptoms? |

| I think its probably something to do with the cyst, if you were 11+3 you'd def get a + test x |

| Unless Dilly - are you thinking you didn't MC and are still PG with that pregnancy, as you say you haven't bled for 11 weeks?
In that case what made them say you had MC without a bleed?
I am totally confused now too! |

| Heya huni, if I am still pregnant with the 1st pregnancy I would be 11+4 today but that's highly doubtable as I got a + then a few weeks later got a - and the dr confirmed it was a - and I was getting ectopic pains and I know an ectopic preg can give a - result but she told me I'd had a chem pregnancy and the pains were from a cyst my ticker is based on the day I got that - as at the time I thought we'd lost the baby but the dr said there was no baby, the egg did not implant and the + was caused by a spike in hormones which is normal in a chem preg. From what I can gather the + came because the egg got fertilised but it just didn't implant. I don't fully understand what a chem preg is as I was too shocked to ask questions and too concerned with the sharp pains in my side (I though it was ectopic and nutty1 said how dangerous they are) I think all these symptoms are hormonal which is why I'm going to ask for a blood test as they are 100% yes or no. I've not had a bleed at all, I had some brown stuff 2 weeks before AF was due with some blood strek ewcm then a few weeks later I had 3 lots of blood streaked ewcm (on different days) but the Dr said she didn't know what that was as I've not got an infection xxx |

That sounds identical to lil eggy i lost before this one. The blood test would be a very good idea. If its 5 or under you arent preg and if its 5 or above you are hon. Good luck x |

| Mario, sorry if this is a personal question but when did you start to bleed or did you not bleed at all? I know I should've gotten more answers but by the way she was talking I assumed I'd started bleeding soon, she said the 1st period after a chem preg can be very heavy and not to be worried. As far as I'm aware I've never had a chem preg before, if I've lost a beanie it's always has been the same cycle:- feeling fluey, sickness, cramps, bleeding, losing the clot, more bleding then a week later it's over (apart from the mmc I had Jan 09, we discovered at the 12 week scan it'd died at 7 weeks and a few days so I had to have a d&c) xx |

| I didnt bleed at all honey but i was preg again within a single cycle so i guess if i hadnt gotten preg id have bled later. However i lost eggy and literally 4 weeks later got my bfp, so i suspect my bean is pretty cushioned in there! My doc told me the original pg had been an ectopic that had dissolved spontaneously, i didnt get much pain just a right sided niggle and the positive tests then negative tests and hadnt even heard of a chemical pregnancy. Didnt even know if this was a new preg or the original one til my 12 week scan, went in half expecting to be told i was 4 weeks further on |

| So even though I've not had a bleed I could still get pregnant then? I thought I couldn't until afterwards. I shall see what the blood test says. Thank-you for all your help Mario I'm so glad you've got a sticky bean, 2 little stunt chickens to keep you on your toes xx |
