| My dads buying c a 1st toddler peppa pig bike for xmas and i want her to start wearing a helmet from day 1 so i measured her head and its 46cm which rules out a lot of the standard ones they sell which start at 48cm. Ive done some googling and this seems good, from the sounds of it its made specially for toddlers so has extra protection over the fontanelle http://www.amazon.co.uk/MET-Elfo-Childrens-Cycle-Helmet/dp/B001W6QBM2 I like the birds one, unfortunately the skull and crossbones doesnt start til the 52cm plus range. And do you think im being neurotic putting her in a helmet for a toddler bike? |

| I like the helmet and you would be encouraging good safety habits. I've seen some tots go a cropper even on a toddler bike, and as we all know C is a daredevil! |

| Izzy has the MET one as its one of the very few that go small enough!
Got mine from Halfords when they had a sale!
Its a nice helmet, the twisty thing is much better than some of the other fastenings! |

| Shame about the pirate one, it would have been perfect for her, I like that one though! I don't think your being over protective, it will be much easier to get her used to wearing one if she starts from day one |

| Tbh I do although my son had a first bike and hardly used it! IMO you're better off waiting till next year for both bike and helmet. I found the bike just to high and it ended up not being used until he was 2 1/2 ish |

| Sorry I just had to say - Caitlins head was 43.5cm at 4 mths old I dread to think what it is now! She's always had a big head, last winter she comfortably wore hats age 1-3 when she was 5mths. Back to the point, we have a waybuloo trike we got on sale that we are keeping for the Spring & I fully intend on getting Caitlin a Helmet. With the weight of her head im sure balance will be a problem for Caitlin! |

| I agree, not neurotic at all. If you start her off putting a helmet on she will associate the helmet with be allowed to go on her bike but if you don't put a helmet on now you might be making a rod for your own back. If she does take a tumble at least she'll be safer, only her ego will be bruised not her precious lil head xxxxx |

| I always have been a bit touchy about Caitlins head Mara havent I I swear she looked like a lolipop at one stage, long, skinny and one big momma head!!! People always thought she was bigger/heavier than she was because of it.... I really need to get over it Too bloody right I needed an episotomy though!!!! Ok , I 'l never mention my gorgeous daughters rather large head again. |

| Hi. I think the helmet is a great idea,
When rich was little he also had elbow, wrist, and knee guards, all with buzz lighter on, My neo said I was mad but the David his knees and wrists on more than one occasion, mainly coming out the door before he got on bike lol |

| Well ive already decided for her bd in 6 months to treat her to that mini harley toy ride on i saw (as her only pressie from us cos the gparents always spoil her rotten) and i def want a helmet for that as its got a battery so may as well get her used to it from crimbo on so gonna order the birds and the devil cover when i get paid. I guess ive seen the results of head injury too often to feel comfortable about my stunt child whizzing around on something without her noggin protected |
