| Morning All, I'm sat here (at work) thinking about christmas and wondered what your preference is to real or fake christmas trees . We have always have a plastic one but this year I think I have got round my OH to have a real one..I love them (although they can be messy) and I can't wait to get it up and decorate it. Oohh i'm so excited and it's not even Dec yet (how sad am I ) What's your preference ladies? |

| I love real trees, the smell etc! But think they can look naff if they are little ones! If I lived in a big house I would every year have a huge big real tree! but as it is I have a little ish fake one that does the job and I actually really like it! Its black and I only allow silver tones on it! The kids hate me!! lol!

| I love real ones and always had them until last year when little man starting walking . I always had a huge one and they are very heavy to lift off a squashed toddler . Even though I have always bought the ones that 'don't drop' they still let a few needles go (especially when the central heating is on a lot) so until the kids are old enough not to knock it over or get needles in their feet/hands/mouth/eyes we will stick to the fake xx |

| I prefer fakes. I'm too much of a perfectionist that i don't like the real ones cause you can never get a perfect shape one Plus the needles are annoying. |

| Fake Iv always grew up with a fake tree and think the needles must be a pain in the bum from real ones. My decs never match, all my bobbles are dif coloured and I have about 100 different 'kiddy' type bobbles eg reigndeer, santa's, angels, penguins, me 2u bears etc. I cant imagine having a 'themed' tree were all the bobbles match. Everyone different though! |

Susan you're not alone I'm the same, our tree decorations were bought to match the theme in the lounge and all the other decorations are the same. I prefer fake trees , same reason as others, perfect shape and no pine needles. i'm worried this year with ava crawling around whether to have one up, how do you safety proof a tree? |

| Up until last year we always had a real tree, but with having Izzy I couldn't be doing with any needles on the floor, so bought a decent fake one
Its actually black and more like thick tinsel and bizarrely when its decorated with lights etc cant really tell its fake, I got more comments bout how nice it was than for any real tree!
SO now I prefer fake! |

Ah thank you, I was beginning to think I was really strange As for Ava, you never know she might not even bother with it - last year Libby was 13 months at xmas and she was still crawling but she didn't even batter an eyelid at it we couldn't believe it xx |
