I have spent ages trying to get my kids in a decent routine and finally they nap together at 11am (usually for 1 1/2 - 2 hours), all my friends and family know this coz I have made a point of telling them! This is the only 'me' time I get, I tidy up, have a wash etc then come on here to chill for a bit and catch up.

So WHY?????? do people insist on ringing me at this time????

I get a call from a blocked number so think maybe it's something important (bank, delivery I'm waiting for etc) so had better answer it - Nooooooooooo! it's my mother! telling me about a hat she has seen for my wedding which isnt until next september ffs!!! so of course Hannah is now awake and moaning coz she's been woken up so wont be long till she disturbs Thomas too and no 'me' time today! I have put her in her jumperoo whilst I have my little rant on here and then I guess it's play time again!

Probably sounds so selfish of me coz I love my kids and my mum is only getting excited which is nice but still!!! Argh!!!!!

I know how u feel hun. Alfie doesnt have certain times where i put him down but he tends to more of less nap around 11am and 3pm for an hour which gav knows of - so why yesterday did he ring me just to tell me that the bank had rang him but he didnt know why?!So then of course Alfie woke up and was ina mood and cudnt get him back off and he was grumpy for the rest of the day!! grrrr! im gonna start turning my phone off when hes napping! x

i go nuts when ppl interupt my me time! dont they know its hard work trying to get even a pee in peace

i just tell the person (especially if its mother!) that im busy or im having a bit of peace haha maybe im rude!

my OH phoned at 10am today and woke us both up, i'm going to have to get him better trained!!!

I totally get where you are coming from... our house phone wakes Aimee up so I normally just unplug it.

I keep my mobile on silent too so I can see if anybody is ringing if it vibrates... if I miss their call... sod 'em!

Thats is EXACTLY the kind of thing my mum does!!!! She rings up at 7pm and she knows Libby goes down at 6:45pm Like your mum it is usually becasue she is excited about something and can't wait to tell me and then I don't have the heart to be pissed off at her

Thank god Libby can sleep through anything - I just hope to god the newbie does too!!!

MY dad does similar, he knows im unavailable between 530 and 730 pm because c has her dinner, then neil gets in, then its bath time, bottle time and bedtime. So everytime he calls me its between 6 and 7, drives me insane, how hard is it to wait til 8, its not like anyones died
