I hate when people say really really pointless things.

lol, I hate pointless things too, although 'play it by ear' makes sense to me...it means that you will wait to decide until you see how things pan out...as in listen to what happens then decide

one of the things that annoy me are people that thing because they have a better paid job than you, or work longer hours are in some way more superiour as a human being and look at you like shite...especially when you know you could do their job just simply chose not to (can you tell im working with a stuck up cow bag lmao) x

the six and half a dozen bugs me too... my mum says that and im sat every time thinking whats the point in that its just like saying either or i dont mind? but really ppl do mind they just dont want to say and wont make a decision

I use those phrases now and then and they make complete sense to me

'6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other' means what ever you do or however you refer to something - ultimately it's the same thing or same out come. e.g. if you are stuck in traffic on the motorway you could take the back roads but they are slower anyway so it really wouldn't make a difference - hence 6 of one and half a dozen of the other

Stuck between a rock and a hard place usually means you have two options for something, neither of which is favourable or if two people want you to do something at the same time so you are going to upset one or the other by saying no - you are stuck between a rock and a hard place

Double negatives really annoy me! Example: "I haven't got no money" if you haven't got "no" money then you must have 'some' money!!! gah!!!
