mhhhm, so elijah has a rash under his chin which is looking quite sore and bumpy - it's right where his dribble gathers and he has been especially drooly recently.
it's been there for a couple of days and we have been putting a little bit of sudocrem on it but don't want to put loads on as he manages to get it in his mouth - i'm pretty sure it's just there because of the drool and although we are going through lots of bibs we can't seem to keep him dry at the moment.
any ideas about what i can do? any other creams? i thought about bepanthen but i don't really want him eating it! any thoughts? it's starting to look quite sore Sad
(p.s we have done the glass test just in case, he seems absolutely fine in himself just dribbly).

It definately sounds like a dribble rash hun, have you tried a little bit of vaseline, as that acts like a barrier and will protect the skin xx

Hannah is very drooly at the moment too hun and her neck is looking sore. I just use sudocrem, she doesn't seem to get it in her mouth but then again Thomas is always eating the stuff Shocked and he's fine so I wouldn't worry too much about that - it's not toxic, just tastes rank rash advice please 981624

I find bibs are useless because they sit under the neck creases where the drool gathers so I tie a big muslin cloth losely around Hannah's neck (like a neckerchief type idea) and this catches it better.

xx

haha sexy neckerchief! yeah maybe thats a better idea, cant find any vasoline but will carry on with the sudocrem and see how it is tomorrow - he only manages to eat it cos he dribbles, wipes his hands all round his mouth and then sucks on his fingers Laughing

hmmmmm well the sudocrem has helped it not look so angry - lansinoh is a great idea! i didn't think of that either, eli has probably already consumed a few tubes in his lifetime and i have loads kicking about Very Happy
the dribbling seems to have calmed down today so i will slather a bit on when we get home and hopefully it will get chance to heal Smile

the lansinoh really does work.. Tyler had a dribble rash one night we put it on and in the morning it had gone.. it also cleared up his baby acne and if he ever gets any dry patches of skin it clears it up straight away!
