Hey ladies, I havent been on BANDA very often i keep doing odd post but feel like im abit out of place, i used to be an AB addict When i was pregnant. Soo i need to make some friends on here!!

I need some help with this whole TTC i have been trying since July and still nothing yet! I still waiting for this months to come Im due on 17th i keep thinking i feel signs of pregnancy but i think its all in my head! I need some hints and tips.. I have been doing the ov calander but thats it...

I charted and used opks and it only took 3 months, I highly reccomend doing them! I'm useless at the knowing I'm pregnant thing, I was absolutely convinced AF was coming this month lol x

opks?? What does this mean, i only know a few abreviations I need to learn them especially on TTC there seems to be loads xxx

Hi Emma, I'm ttc number two as well, we're probably on about the same time scales in terms of how long we've been trying also.

I've just bought some ovulation testing sticks (opks), so am going to try them this month, they'll tell you the best time to conceive. I got a load of ebay really cheap. Might be worth a try?

I'm still learning all the abbreviations too, so don't worry!

Opk's are ovulation tests, basically like a pregnancy test but it tells you when your ovulating x

Emma 99 percent of the ladies here are from ab Hun there's no need to feel out of place, I gotta say I felt like that at ab sometimes, like I was insignificant and like no one wanted to hear from me on occasions, but I've really felt welcomed here I really hope you do to!!

As for ttc where to start lol I'm not actively ttc right now but I know a fair amount from ttc Charlie!
First of you need to get to grips with your cycle, know how long they are, when you ovulate and how long you luthel phase is. Ovulation calendars are a general rule for the average Joe and most people don't conform to it!

To work out when you ovulate you should do a combination of two things, test to see when you get a lh surge by using ovulation pridiction kits (opks) they are like pregnancy tests but look for a different hormone! You can get them on eBay very cheaply! You should test atleast once a day from a certain point in your cycle until you get a positive result. If you have a 28 day cycle you start testing from cycle day 11.

Along side this you can chart your temperatures, if you google bbt charting it's explained. In a nut shell you take your temperature every morning at the same time, this will show you how your cycle changes as your temperature changes at different stages of your cycle. Charting is the only way to actually confirm ovulation.
If you sign upto fertility friend you can keep track of everything there!

You can also check your cervical mucas and your cervix position to help understand more but alot of people don't worry about that!

As for abbreviations just ask I think I know most lol
Opks- ovulation prediction kits.
Ov- ovulation
Cd- cycle day
Dpo- days past ovulation.
2ww- two week wait
Af- aunty low or period.
Hpt- home pregnancy test
Cm- cervical mucus
Cp- cervix position.
Fx- fingers crossed!
Bd- baby dance or sex.

Can't think of anymore off the top of my head lol

Thanks Kell for your info, i think im gonna start the ov testing and temp as of next month,

I couldnt wait any longer this month so i went and brought a HPT and got a BFN I swear that one line got stronger and stronger as i was staring at it! Hopefully it wont be too much longer wait xx
