I'm under consultant care after having to be induced due to really high BP with Libby, I've got my scan on Thursday but the consultant is only at the clinic (within the hospital) on a monday morning so I have an appointment on Monday to see him.

Now the problem is that my hospital is about 25 miles away and the traffic is sooooo bad it can take upto an hour and a half to get there, I'll have to go on my own with Libby as Simon will be working and all my consultant will do is check my pee and BP - which my MW can do at my local docs surgery.

I'm thinking of cancelling my appointment purely because of inconvenience, do you think thats stupid? I've been feeling fine - no symptoms and my high BP didn't start with Libby til I was 34 weeks anyway.

What would you do??

I think I would go hun, but little old worried person I am im probably not the best person to ask. xx

Yeah I know what you mean hun, I just dont think it's worth me going all the way to the hospital for the consultant to do what the MW can do just down the road xx

If your sure that all he'll do is bp and urine then I can't see the difference going to mw, unless something shows up in which case you'd have to wait for another appointment with the consultant x

Give em a call to find out what you are going for and if mw can do it see her. Thats what i wid do

I would go too. That way he is aware of your case early and can prepare 'just incase' and get it put on your notes.
