Well c woke up crying 6am today. Put her in bed with me and she just laid there refusing her milk not wanting to move. Checked her temp - 39oc/102F depending on you. So stripped her off and whacked in calpol and brufen, finally got it down under 38. Shes spent most of today lying on me in a vest or babygro, shes hardly eaten not surprising but only drunk about 5ozjuice and 8oz milk usually 15-20 juice and about same of milk. Have only gotten off sofa to pee or make food/drink today and am seriously beebied out!

Have given her 3 lots calpol and 3 lots brufen today and temps still 39 at bedtime. Shes gone to bed in vest and shorts with sash windows open. Got 1 more lot calpol can give her today so trying to wait an hour to keep her comfy overnight

Honestly though how many bugs can 1 kid get in 3 months anyway! Starting towonder what im doing wrong!

Poor c and poor you!

You know as a mum, there are tomes when it's one thing after another. With ellie it seems to be cold after cold! I don't know were she picks them up as she doesn't go to nursery or anything.

At least c is in good hands!

Some kids seem to catch everything going, poor C x

Frustrating meg cos cant find whats actually wrong. Shes just hot and mis. Wee seems fine, chest fine aside from this ongoing cough,not snotty,earsseem fine. Just hotand unhappy!

Well temps down from 39.2 to 38.8 so gonna leave windows open for now as brufen finally kicking in and givecalpol when i go up to shut windows at ten. She even napped in bed with me this afternoon andshe NEVER sleeps in my bed its too 'boingy'! Hate seeing her so lifeless and crying

Daddy day off tommorrow so at least he can share cuddle duty. Hope you and cerys better soon

They pick up bugs everywhere! Even just taking them to the store. Everything you touch ie: door handles..shopping cars(mine likes to lick the handle) cross contaminates back to them. You guys had that meet up at that soft play center..the ball pit is my best guess...every single dirty bum..snot..vomit..germ lies in wait in those things! xx

awwww its awful when you've tried everything and you dont know what else to do for them thats good that Neil is off tomorrow to help out. You arent doing anything wrong !!! Her immune system has been working over time the last few months so she's bound to be more likely to catch the bugs xx

Awww bless poor Caelyn, she is going through it at the moment, hope she is ok soon.

When Bethany started nursery last December, we had this until about February this year but then when all the colds eased off, she was ok for months and months got the chicken pox in April but was fine and apart from the spots you wouldn't have known she was ill and it is only the last few weeks that she has had a few colds but they have all had them in nursery.

thanks. did aweight related dose of calpol and shes downto 38.1 so shut windows and got fan running.Hopefully will get under 38 before i go to bed or gonna be lyingin bed fretting. I only do other ppls sick kids well

Well that was a LONG night. She woke upcryingher eyes out at half ten so put her to bed with me. Long disturbed night as she kept waking upcrying and wanting to cuddle me and was hot as hell. Woke up every hour or so. At 4 she woke up crying and did her temp was 40.6c/105f!

Ended up stripping her vest off so she was just in nappy and turning fan up and giving calpol and brufen but as she lay there she kept twitching. Couldnt sleep cos was terrified she would fit as she was so hot. She must have cooled and dropped off eventually and i must have too as woke at 630.

Temp seems better today but shes so unhappy and only wants me so back aching from carrying her all morning. Fingers crossed she perks up a bit today. Assuming its viral still but shes been farting like a stray balloon since yesterday (LOL SORRY) so am wondering if shes brewing a tummy upset

ah poor C. im having a bad time with Alfie atm too. He just seems to have a permanant viral infection, as well as teething. so i been up since 3am - lack of sleep is not good!! get some rest while oh watches C xx
