| which bank are you with and why?? do u have any grief with them and what ?? I HATE my bank.. after 12 years of banking with them and having no bother, santander come in and change everything and now iv got nothing but bother with them!! i used to have an over draft limit, i never used it right enuff, very rare id go mibi 10 quid over sometimes for the likes of fuel etc.. well they took it away, no reason why, no notice nothing.. and iv had a few maths errors whilst swiping, especially with morrisons who dont take the money out my account for 3 days! so i ended up with charges, 2 of which they have pardoned as a good will gesture.. but next month i have 80 in charges and all because i went over 2 times.. both amounts under 6 quid!! how the heck to they justify that ?? so i want to change my bank. i have 2 accounts with them and im switching both!! any recommendations ?? |

| i am with natwest and used to have nothing but trouble, they signed me up to a 'gold membership' and charged me £12 a month, even though i clearly stated i wanted a basic account, the taking of said money then led to me being overdrawn...ALOT so that incurred charges...which inturn meant i couldn't get an overdraft when i needed it haven't had any problems for a while though |

| I'm with HSBC, always have been since they were Midland and I have had no problems with them whatsoever. My OH and parents have all always been with them and they think they are fab too. Both my kids have trust funds and accounts with them too.

| LOL...Community Credit Unions are awesome here in Canada..not only do they not charge user fees..but we all buy shares in it. For our miniscule amount of membership shares of 100 CAD..they give us a bonus of 1000-1200 right before Christmas! So they pay us! xxx |

| Until about 18 months-2 years ago I was with Natwest - I was DISGUSTED with them!
They allowed British Gas to set up a DD without my say so - and so a few months after I left they tried to take £400 odd, anyway first it bounced, so I got charged as was on SMP and not much in account. Then a few days later allowed it to go out even though I still didn't have enough to cover it - and charged me for going over drawn! I got the £400 odd back as they (at the time) admitted it was thier fault BUT by then was already really overdrawn from the charges!
I didn't realise for a while til the end of the month when all my normal Direct debits went out and they bounced as there was no money!
I had £££££ of charges - so I told them to close the account and I would complain about the fee's.
They stopped sending me statements and I was busy with Izzy etc, then I came to sort it all out and they hadn't closed it at all - but had been charging even more every month! I have ended up owing THEM hundreds in fees and they refuse to admit they were wrong
I have gone as far as I can with complaining and have basically had the case sent to a debt collector so I will have to pay it as they just do not listen. I havent spent a penny of the money they say I owe and its all down to them allowing someone to set up a DD that I had cancelled months before and had no authorised to be re started
Natwest are a disgusting bank and should be ashamed of themsleves.
They also do not update their ATM machine regularly as other banks do - so you can go to supermarket and use your card for example Friday...but it wont update til Wednesday sometimes, so if you forgot you used your card you can easily go overdrawn - so get charged OD fee AND unauthoried card usage fee - its them being sneaky cos if they refused the card use they wouldn't get any fees! |

| Oh Im with Nationwide now and they a great - their ATM balances are updated much faster and if there is no money in the account they simply refuse the card! So I never get charged! |

| as in they dont let you go overdrawn if you say you dont want one - some banks say there isnt one but then allow you to go over and charge you! |

| morrisona are a nightmare for that especially on the fuel pumps and natwest are far and away the worst bank ever i have come across.
halifax are ok there charges are £5 per day for unathorised overdrafts where natwest is £28 then £35 admin (or reverse) evrytime you go over, they seriously put adam in some shit when he got into a bit of trouble a few years ago because it was just a constant cycle of overdraft, charged, overdrawn, charged while nothing in, charge taken etc....... |

| oh god sanatader is one of the wrose! oh is with them... n they took his over draft away.. just wrote a letter saying it was going.. he called them saying we need it (we was going on hoilday a day after they wanted to take it hence why we needed the money) n they said there was nothing they could do! so i told him to take the money out any way.. we paid it back but couldnt keep up with the bank charges.. so what was only £200.. turned into £700.. we oly have 50 quid of it to pay back now.. as some how they sorted it, that we wouldnt get bamk charges as long as it got paid..
im with Lloyds.. have been since i was a kid.. pretty good. apart from if u go over drawn its a 15 quis monthly fee, plus 6-20 a DAY untill its paid back.. xx
