We've asked for Argos vouchers for xmas so we can buy the nursery furniture BUT I've just gone on there and they've got 15% off all furniture so instead of £340 it is now £280 including mattress and delivery. I don't know whether to get it now (we've got the money in the joint account but like to have a certain amount as a 'float') and put the money back or wait til after xmas

susan if i was you I would wait unti the January sales , we bought ava's cot in the December but in the january sales it was £80 cheaper.

Yeah I know what you mean, the set is really cheap anyway (£340 for a wardrobe, cotbed, drawers, cot top changer and mattress) so to get 15% makes it sooooo cheap, they have had offers before and they go out of stock pretty much straight away until the offers finished - typically They have still got them in stock at the moment though.

You would want to change your gifts to cash rather than argos vouchers if you do hun.
I don't know what i'd do, i think if we had the money there, id be inclined to buy it.

I think MY family would probably give us the money because they'll understand why we'd want it, Simon's family probably wouldn't (but then they probably wouldn't get us Argos vouchers either because we asked for them ).

I don't like putting my card details online (been scammed too many times) and I'm workng this afternoon and wont be able to get there before they close. I can't reserve and collect because it's home delivery only.

Soooo I have to wait til tomorrow (and pray they still have it in stock).

On the plus side I have just spoken to my mum and she said she'll be happy to give us money for xmas so at least we can bank it again.
