well a new update on my work, you may remember they are trying to make out my posts gone so i have to take another role. they've totally ignored my request for flexible working (i used the template gillandwill kindly sent me) and sent me a 4 week rota with different days each week, late nights and weekends. considering in my old post i worked 9-5 monday-thurs and 9- 2 on a friday.

i'm getting so angry now, i just dont know what to do next, it would be easier to resign but i'm not playing into their hands. Any advice?

i wish i could give you advice hun, i dont think that is fair at all and if they have a flexible working policy they should abide by it or if they want to change your role and cant fit you request into it then they should provide you with something in a similar role and hours!
i really hope you get it sorted and stressing about work is not fun!
hugs xxxx

Surely they can't do this pinky, I would seek advice from your local Citizens advice. Hope you get things sorted.

Pinky, you need to get some advice from someone experienced in employment law.

i'm going to get an appointment with CAB, i cant justify resigning as i have a well paid position, I work on a team of two and my colleague's been forced into a new role that he hates without a contract change, he's seeing a solicitor tomorrow so it'll be interesting what they say.

They cannot ignore your felxible working request as it is a legal right. I would write and say that you are taking legal advice and you cannot agree to any change until they have responded to your flexible working request as required by law. I would clearly state that it is your understanding that your post and working hours will remain unchanged until they respond to your request.

I dont know if you have had anything in writing from them yet about your post having 'gone'. If so i would formally request the rationale for this to be sent to you in writing.

The suggestion of CAB etc is a good one but it will be better if you the sort of written documents suggested above to show them so that they can best advise you.

You could put in a grievance and if the situation is still unresolved you could then resign and claim contructive dismissal but i would really not suggest it as i have rarely seen this succeed at tribunal. ALso as you say it does not make much sense to pack in a well paid job!

Good luck x
