Chimney breast painted!!!

Its a fantastic colour i cant wait to get some more done. hopefully this snow will mean Adams gets tomorrow off, he has just rung me and said that he has done bugger all today and there is bugger all to do!

My latest update lol is that my dad came and filled a hole in the plaster that I pulled off with the wallpaper so I can now paint it

The ceiling is almost done, just the bit over HIS weights bench that he still hasnt taken out

Now its up I dont know if I want the floor boards painted or have carpet...im only undecided cos there is a bit of floor that not in good nic, but its behind a where her dresser will be...but still dunno

ooh, i like the idea of floor, our boards arent good enough.

hope to get the furniture done and carpet cleaned in next day or 2, i am struggling to visualise the room tho and where things will go!!!

haha I know what you mean! The nursery is tiny so there aint much choice where things go..but the new room is quite big, but awkward with 2 fitted wardrobes either side of the breast, a low window that nothing can go underneath, a slanted door entrance, one wall with a huge radiator on and 2 stupidly placed electric sockets! There is really only one place the bed can go so having to work round that!

Have decided on carpet now - just got to order it and book the fitter - then its pretty much all done!

Stupid mattress isn't coming from Argos til Wednesday though Shouldn't moan though as it was £190 reduced to £80

I made a boob and am so angry with myself! I bought some wooden letters of her name to go on the wall - so put them in an arch, put forgot the I was bigger than the other letters...so it looks wonky now - no one else will probably notice though ( I hope)

Bed, is here to be picked up tomorrow, all painted, curtains up.

Problem is i STILL havent painted the wardrobes and i now have seen a fabby pink carpet that i want to get for the bargain price of £75, just dont know what to do

Izzys room is 99.9% done, all that remains is to add her bed, but Argos delayed on the mattress so wont be here til 23rd!

got a bargain bedside cabinet for £5 from the hospice shop already painted, just needs anothr lick of paint, want an old bookcase now, nut i want an old one that we can paint to match so only want to be spending a few quid on it x

I was going to put some pics up, but i'll wait til her bed arrives....it wont have the same 'big girl' look with a cot

£95 fitted for the carpet, if we order it monday will be fitted tue/wed cant not can we really
so that put it back a bit, really have to get my arse in gear now to get the wardrobe painted so i dont ruin the new carpet!!!

Yeh definitely make sure you have done everything before the carpet goes down!

I had done all painting and most drilling, but some stuff I hadn't put up...so ended up with brick dust on the carpet...not good when its cream!
