My cockatiel escaped today - my MIL has had them for about 2 years and she absolutly loves them to bits, so much so that we have never had the heart to take them away from her.
This afternoon Teddy (she was a she but I thought she was a he when I got her!) hid in MIL's hood and when she went outside Teddy flew off

My MIL has been frantic, looking all night but didn't find her.

I don't think she will survive the night as she has never even been outside other than in the sun and won't have a clue where to go or anything

Fingers crossed someone finds her, but it was 3pm when she flew off, so would have been dark quite soon after.

Well as my MIL text us this morning 'a miracle has happened'

They found Teddy this morning! She was in her neighbours garden in a Laurel tree! Even though she had flown the opposite direction over fields she made he way back pretty much to the right house!

Thank goodness it was not a minus 10 freeze like a few nights ago!

MIL is besides herself with joy now!
