I have just taken my nail off (nearly my fingertip!) with the first kind, but the second kind hurts my wrists after a while and the last one I've never used (I don't think) - any good?

Or should I invest in one of these?!

i just use a small knife, i cant get the hang of any of those things

I used to use a paring knife too Jo, hubby goes spare and thinks I'll chop a finger off (he's prob not wrong) but it has the same wrist ache as the one I usually use (the second along).
That last one looks like a right beast but I wanna play

Mine is like the first kind but looks a little more sturdy.

They are evil things though!

i have the 1st one but for the same reason as you, i despise it! so therefore i use a knife, but all ours seem to be blunt so do just as much damage as them peelers x

None i use a knife. I used to have a fantastic one (like the first one) but i lost in when we moved

I have a more sturdy version of the 1st but I prefer to use number 3 but as OH peels more potatoes than I do he gets to decide!

hmm, my short stumpy nail is considering never peeling again

Is the third one a mix of the two first ones? Does the blade move / rock a bit when you use it?
I need to keep my eye out for a new one I think anyway. Still fancying the swirly peeler though
