I've had an appointment though for charlies mmr, it's the 14th December, I'm not sure I want to take him, if he gets a reaction from it then he will be ill over Christmas. Do you think I should wait or just go with it?

| I would wait hun personally. Thomas was grumpy and snotty about 10 days after and I know a few people who's LOs had the same delayed reaction. He wasn't ill as such, just out of sorts really but you want him to enjoy his christmas so it wont hurt to wait till january.

Tyler didn't have any reaction to his but it's better to be safe than sorry and have a miserable little one over Christmas. Putting it off won't do any harm,.

We put it off a couple of months due to illness and I think being a bit older helped - it was the one set of jabs that had the least effect and disruption for us! But if you're worried best to wait, easier to get hold of gp's in the new year too if there are any side effects x

I would personally wait, Beth had hers 4 weeks ago, 3 days after she came out in the measles rash, which is still there but faded, 7 days after she had a fever which lasted 2-3 days, 21 days later she has another fever and swallon glands, she had a reaction to every part available x
