| go for it, have a practice run first, I get most of my supplies from www.surbitonart.com but that's because it's within walking distance of my house! www.cakecraftworld.co.uk is good To do the swirls you need the right piping nozzle, a large star nozzle is best. I use the Wilton 1M tip also have a look at youtube for tutorials on how to ice a cake, it's easier than you think! Shout if you need a hand, or LisaG is always very helpful with cake matters too x |

| Yeah I agree with Mandy you should deffo give it a whirl! Cupcakes might be best to start with as covering a cake can be a little stressful if you want it to look good.
I use cake craft world too and they're good. They'll have everything you'll need. Have a look through google images and post a pic that you like the look of and we can let you know how to make it and what you'll need xxx |

| I would have ago at the cupcakes as these are quite easy and even the icing is not too hard if i can do it anyone can!!. The icing for cupcakes is only made from icing sugar, butter and a drop of milk so no fancy ingredients! There are some good videos on youtube that show you how to do the swirls xx |

| Yeah I agree with Kate buttercream is the way forward lol. Fondant icing is more commonly known as sugar paste in the UK and I always buy it although I know people who only ever make there own but it's not that expensive to buy. If you don't have a local cake supply shop buy some from the link Mandy gave you. Or Tesco do their own brand. If you're wanting it to make little models for the top of cupcakes you'd be best to use gumpaste and I can tell you a few different ways to make it if needs be xxx |
