| One of my hobbies is Photography so I will start this group so you can share your photo skills with us, link to your albums etc and get help and offer tips! My BIGGEST tips ever which have dramatically improved the quality of my pics are: * Use a tripod * Use a remote button (or self timer on 2 seconds) Why? Well anything touching a camera will affect the stability of the photo - the stiller the camera is then the sharper the image comes out - so obviously on a tripod you aren't holding the camera (bear in mind if you have anti shake on your camera you should turn this off when its in a tripod), and by using a remote control to release the shutter again you aren't touching the camera I bought a relatively cheap tripod, but I haven't yet saved for a remote control - instead I use the self timer - by the time it takes the photo (I set mine to 2 secs) the camera has stabilized Here are links to my Flickr and Deviant Art site (some pics are duplicated on here) http://www.flickr.com/photos/50036137@N08/ http://lisa1302.deviantart.com/ Here are a couple examples of my recent photos

| For my proper stuff I use a Sony Aplha 200 SLR - it is the entry model but does a good job for me!
For snaps I use a Casio Elixim, and get pretty good pics to be fair! |

yes they aren't cheap! Mine was about £250 IIRC maybe a little more, but it was discounted! I couldn't afford more, and I had a bonus or something which is why I could afford it |

| Hi, can I join your gang please?! I love photography, but I don't really have any stuff online as I only use the digital camera for day to day stuff (mostly heaps of picture of Elijah to bore everyone with via email ). All of my cameras are very very cheap, that's kind of on purpose though I have a few 35mm cameras - they are all cheap plastic (uber-lomography style!), a Holga, an Actionsampler, I had a Diana but couldn't get on with the 120 film, a classic Polaroid (of course!) and an Ikimono 110 (keychain size, haven't managed to get anything developed yet though). I also use a Polaroid Pogo if my bluetooth will ever work I don't know if any of that will make any sense to anyone here but if not I will just quietly lurk and admire other people's pics |

| I'm a little into photography, because of my job I have to train the Bounty ladies in the hospitals to take portraits of the newborns. Would love to share some of my photos but sadly I'm not allowed as I don't have mum's permission. The best tips I would say for taking photo's of babies (before they can move lol) is to frame the shot with a blanket and fold the blanket softly around baby, centre baby in the shot as much as possible by focussing on the bridge of their nose and make sure you have as much natural light as possible, also when photographing babies you need a lot of patience as they don't always want to pose for you! |
