| i'm a bit paranoid i'm not giving ava enough, other people i know with babies same age seem to be giving double.
this is what she's on atm
she has one bf on waking breakfast is porridge or weetabix bf mid morning and a snack (rice cake or a few organix carrot puffs) lunch usually finger foods (mini sarnies, vege batons, cheese etc...) dinner some kind of homemade meal natural yoghurt with fruit
5 oz formula before bed 8 oz formula at 11pm
she doesn't seem to be able to eat a lot in one go, i've used a stage 2 jar as a measure when i make her food and she can only eat half that size but she's still following her centile. |

| i would reckon that you are doing fine - it doesn't seem like too little and i think i remember you saying ava is quite small (naturally). if she is following her centile i wouldnt worry. elijah is a gutsy little monster and i think he has probably jumped up a centile (hes been on 9th, 25th and 50th i think hes probably 75th now) and has NEVER refused food or rarely voluntarily stops eating so maybe its just cos she is a petite girly |

| Sounds fine to me hun. That's more than my fussy littly monster toddler eats now and I worry so much about his eating but he is healthy and growling perfectly. Some babies just seem to eat more than others. Hannah is quite hungry at the moment but then so was Thomas at her age but he could only ever eat 1/2 stage 2 jar in one go too. xx |

| do you think boys generally eat more? a girl from my birth club has a boy only one week younger than ava and he can eat 2.5 wetabix followed by 2 flices of toast with peanut butter for hs brekkie, I don't think ava could eat that much in a full day.
I don't know why i worry so much because i know deep down she's fine, must be mummy paranoia. |

| good god, i dont think *i* could eat that much for breakfast! maybe its because she is bf? i have a friend who was the other way round, her son was a little bit early, but was never that interested in anything but cereal, but her daughter who was term will eat absolutely anything and she is a week younger than elijah - i think there are lots of different contributory factors, i bet she is absolutely fine (and from babies i have seen at baby classes, the boys always seem a bit more ummm robust haha than the girls) |

| the boys do seem enormous at my baby groups too, ava looks like a lilliputian compared to them. she's still wearing 3-6 month clothes. On the positive it looks like she may have missed out on my fat gene |
