for contents insurance? And what do you get for that?

We pay £31 a month, that's everything covered, bikes away from home, personal possessions, accidental, emergency, holiday, legal

So was talking to Dan and he naively thought you could replace everything in a house (if it burnt to the ground) for £5k Laughing You can tell he has never had to furnish a home!
Our cover is £50k which is way more than it needs to be but is just what 3 bed came up as and its the standard figure.

We used to pay about £11 a month, but that was just the basics - as in only really covered if you got burgled or had a fire, didn't cover bikes, our phones etc...which lets face it aren't the most likely to happen

Hmmm not sure individually because we have buildings and contents covered together but for the both we pay about £260 a year, that covers £200,000 buildings including accidental damage, £50,000 contents including accidental damage and £5,000 personal belongings all with a £50 excess (£1000 for subsidence). That is for a 4 bedroomed detached bungalow built in the 60's.

Had to laugh at £5k, we get people in all the time saying it wouldnt cost alot to replace their items but they forget about the little things, they soon add up.

xx
