So I was saying earlier that we didn't take whellie bin out last week as was cardboard week and Dan took it all to skip already ...so in theory bin is empty right?! WRONG! Its full to the brim - so why didn't he put it out last week?! Arghhhhhhhh Anyway I'd spent half a bluddy hour flattening all the boxes that furniture had come in and had a huge pile...go out scrape the ice so i don't slip on way to bins...get there..bin full! Got all these boxes and no where to put them....so now they are all piled up in his gym that he tidied on the weekend Maybe he will sort it seeing as he cant avoid it the minute he opens the door!

We're under the same borough as Suzi, our day to day waste goes into a green bin which (in theory when it's not snowing/icy/wrong kind of leaf on the road) get emptied every week and our blue bin is for recycling which gets taken fortnightly. As we live in a maisonette we don't get a glass recycling box/container but the new block over the way gets a purple bin for the glass so hubby sneaks over there and "does his bit for the environment" he got shouted at by a random and his reply was I aint bloody walking all the way to the social club to recycle my glass pmsl. The lid on that one is locked but there's a flappy thing to post the glass through x

Our black bin gets collected every fortnight and our green bin every fortnight. Our recyling box gets collected every week. One week we put out 2 recylcing boxes and they only took one. Called council and they said they can only take one black box per household each week For about 4 weeks now we have had abag of jars (washed and clean ) left in our box I have given up and put it in our black bin x I wish they would take cardboard would be easier than queueing for over an hour at the tio each month!

We have 3 bins all collected at different times every Monday! The black or green is general wubbish, the lovely blue one is recycle, the baby shit brown one is food/garden waste. If they see a carrier bag in the recycle bin they won't take it they dont bang the brown ones enough and I currently have some mouldy potatoes and bread fermenting in the bottom as its to cold to go out and scrub them out! If any of the lids are slightly ajar they won't take them! The council are pushing for fortnightly collection but we are currently winning that battle
