I'm so relieved, I went to the doctor a couple of months back as had been feeling really tired and crappy and they did some blood tests. They came back that my Folic acid levels were really low and the doctor said that normally that indicates either a bad diet, excessive alcohol consumption or pregnancy none of which apply to me, so he said they needed to find out what was causing it, they did some more bloods which ruled out Coeliac disease, so he then decided to scare the life out of me saying that something was causing me to have low levels and they need to investigate what, when I asked him what it could be, he told me that it could be a tumour or cancer, or liver disease or Crohns and they were going to refer me to a specialist.
Well I went to the hospital and they did various tests which were fine and the consultant has told me that I simply have Folic acid deficiency anameia, so I've been put on Folic acid supplements.
I'm so happy it's nothing sinister, I've spent the last two months convinced that I'm going to die and have been so stressed and worried, I'm also quite irritated that the GP frightened me like that, when he could have diagnosed that himself.
The good news is once I've increased my folic acid levels back to normal I can start TTC again. Yay!
