After realising this is the third year in a row I've been staying away from certain things at Christmas (pg with bean, BFing bean, now pg with pip) - but really think of them as going with Christmas time: Martni dry - just the smell makes me Christmassey Small net of continental cheeses - I had to get the kiddie-type pants mild ones now, with no blue cheese etc. Any wine - white, medium, mixed with lemonade... ah those were the days... am a total ligthweight now so prob have to be mini bottles as and when I can drink again Plus staying away from Prawns / Pate / Peanuts.. oo, all p's... At least I can have my fill of clementines / satsumas - another Christmassey smell for me - and have stocked up on some non-alc pear kopparberg cider already and some choccie treats of course - like twilights and elzabeth shaws - and will get in some celebrations etc. x

Ooo, I mentioned I liked after eights the Christmas I was expecting bean - I ended up with about 4/5 big boxes worth - enough to put me off... until the next year Have got the schloer in already - Sainsbury's were doing bogof I think, oh and recently seen that Lidll are doing various pop (pepsi, 7-up) for about 80p for 2litres! How come drinking water etc. goes out the window at Christmas / New Year x

Well I grew up mostly in Germany and because my mum is German we had alot of German cakes and biscuits so I do tend to go to Lidl and stock up on stollen, leibkuchen, dominosteine etc. I also get mulled wine flavour tea (from Whittards - its lovely!!). But of course we have to have lots and lots of mince pies xx

ooo - oooo - how could I forget - gregg's mince pies are the best shop-bought ones!!! It's 6 for £1.30 or a dozen for £2 I'm sure - mmmmmmm bestest.... Have bought some bits from Lidl for a hamper I'm doing - nice different biscuits etc. - wanted a small stolen but only had huge ones! You reminded me Susan - got some mulled infusion tea-bag things last year and the rest are still in the cupboard, swartz or similar, can do non-alc with apple juice or cranberry or a mix - makes me feel a bit more festive anyway x
