well the social worked has said it came from a refural that the children center has done now the childrens center outreach worker is my friend anyway before she got the job so obb is on my fb but had shown pic to another outreach worker as they said they may be able to help us as at time all docs said she was fine . but i have asked her and app its not my friend so have to wait till monday to find out what center it has come from and social worker said i had right to the refural letter so will be getting that as whoever it is has breech confidentiality . i know they can breech that if they think the child is in danger but jodys was just a pic of poorly ill reflux baby .

that type of pic i would have taken to show doctors and other proffessionals what the problem with my child was ,,, as proof ya know ,,,,,, not the type of thing to be posted on facebook x

hun i put it on facebook so my family can see and my friends who worry about her as much as me its the only way to get it tho . at the point when i posted as you all know she had been vomiting like that for 5 days and docs saying all is fine . so wanted others opinions as i am self confessed worrier

ok, i will probably get slated for this...but....

i saw some of your pics and they were very disturbing...at the time i wondered what the hell was going through your mind when your little girl was sat covered in vomit...rather than comforting her and cleaning her up...as most mums would run to do, you were taking pics...so to be fair, i can understand that you have been referred to SS.

i understand that you're trying to let people see what you're dealing with when jody is sick, but putting them for public content on facebook is bound to lead to people expressing a concern that rather than cleaning jody up, you let her sit in her own puke while you grabbed a camera...any normal person would.

this isn't a rant about you...am just pointing out that it is normal that someone might raise a few concerns when seeing jody so sicky

p.s. i have posted a vid of lily-ann having a seizure on my facebook...but purely to find out from mums with other Rett syndrome girls if it IS a seizure..incase anyone thinks i'm being a hypocrite).

KENTY that is exactly what i did posted to see if i was overeacting as been told she was fine by docs said she was fine and my pics are only avalile to friend and they all know what we go tho with her and shoud know me . i had somone on hand to obv clean straight away .

i think.. fb should only be a place for people that are your freinds and know you and know you as a person and therefor wouldnt find it disturbing! its disturbing that jody has this problem and julia is being told nothing is wrong and i think she was tring to find either reasurance from her freind and family that its either a normal thing or that sh eisnt goign crazy and the docs are being shit at there job!! i for one disnt see it as though she wasnt interested in cleaning jody up she is justa frustrated mum and doesnt knwhwere to turn!

Sorry Julia but social services referrals dont constitute breach of confidentiality. Whoever did it felt rightfully or wrongfully they had valid concerns. Ive made ss referrals before and it never constitutes a breach in fact its my duty of care to a small person if i have any concerns as its better something is investigated and found to be nothing than not ivestigated and found to be something.

If the photos are for your consultant they should be kept for consultant only. I know youhave ben tearing your hair out trying to get help for jody but you can tell ppl how she is without these photos which i agree with the other ladies are disturbing to look at. Im sorry if this isnt what you want to hear but FB is NOT the place for these kinds of pictures. I know you would have had someone cleaning her up immediately but surely you can see how it would come across

And id check your security settings. When i saw your status i earlier i mentioned it to another banda lady saying 'have you heard whats happened' as you were posting here and they were able to see all your photos without being on your friends list so your page is obviously more open than you realised and that makes it even less likely to e a breach of confidentiality

And Jen was the lady i was talking too and ive just seen shes let you know x

Its a sound idea but if you are gonna have cyber friends on there you open yourself up to the world. And i understnad julia is frustrated as reflux is a horrible condition for a tiny person to have. Ive actually answered julias posts in the past on the d and v saying 5 days of vomiting is not unusual in a bug. I think its the kind of advice that can be sought (and given gladly with every will to help btw) without bthe need for photos. Thats my personal opinion. Do i think it warranted SS? No i dont but i can see how an outsider without knowledge of Julias frustration would be disturbed by this

And as someone who is involved closely with SS id rather make 100 referrals for nothing than miss the one thats really important. Baby P? I dont think they would find anything of note with Julia but at least ppl are trying to do their duty of care to jody

mario i understand what your saying yet mu social is a bloody joke .when jody was tiny we had huge issues woth lucy being violent to her and landing her in hosspital a few times bangs to head ect i had been refyred (willingly i might add) by a and e department and 2 wice by their cosultant pead YET that was 11 months ago now and obviously all better with lucy behabviour . NOONE i mean NOONE from social came out to follow them refurals up now heven forbid i was abusing her she would of no doubt be well u can guess by now . yet a SILLY trivial compared to then and bang here they are .

Ok im going to be devil's advocate here. Julia, please dont think the girls are having a go at you, they're just giving you their opinions about the pics. In my opinion it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, Jody is your baby and I know you are worried sick for her. I believe you when you say you posted those pics to prove that she is very poorly, when someone is that desperate and it feels like no-one believes you, we do things without thinking. I know you are a fab mummy, you dont EVER have to justify yourself to anyone. Im sure whoever called SS was well meaning and thought that they could help you and didnt think for one minute you were a bad mum. We'ew not here to judge you, just support you but as you know, you get honest opinions on here. Chin up xx

i do only have people on my fb that i hope no me well enough to know i wasnt doing for nay other reason of pure frsutration and wanting support ,,u can say till your blue in the face whats happening but if a doc says nothign is wrong and u can clearly see there is i would want others opinion! i wouldnt put it up there to disturb people or for people to make harsh descicions just support me in knowing that im right and something is wrong

LOL Emma, i know no-one's arguing. I just feel sorry for Julia because all of a sudden people are saying what they thought of the photos when she's feeling low enough and could rather do with support x
