Just tried expressing for the first time after a total failure trying to express for Aron and I expressed just over 3oz in less than half an hour!! I tried to express with Aron for 2 or 3 weeks and didn't get that much in the whole time!!!

I am in total shock but rather chuffed too!

It was using an electric one in hospital and hiring one with Aron that scared me as I struggled so much to express then but if i continue like tonight then I am going to ask my hv about hiring one when I see her on Friday!

I still can't get over the shock of how much I expressed and the fact my boobs are starting to feel full again already!!

Expressing was an art I could not master! think it had to do with Shayne laughing his ass off when using the hand pump version when I first had Matt...since then..just never could bring myself to do it at home again.

Well done you. If you get an ele the medela swings pretty good. Also recall the look on neils face watching my baps getting juiced

Well done you!!!! I used to hate expressing, and it was only fuelled by having to tip it all away as she refused a bottle

I expressed but it ficking took AGES. If I was planning on leaving her for a cpl hrs Id literally have to start expressing 4 days before hand and spend 2-3 hrs over a day expressing just to get about 10 oz (enough so I wouldnt panic about her needing 2 feeds.) I only BF for 8 wks but I never really leaked and only once did my boobs feel 'uncomfortable/full' and that was the day I went 10hrs between feeds due to her being in hospital/having allergic reaction.

Congrats on managing it! Its encouraging to hear that if I BF again just because I couldnt really express much for Catlin I may be able to next time.

I used to sit and express in front of tv with mum and stu both in the room, I didnt care lol. Im sure it was weird for stu but bless him he was trying to support me so much. I wouldnt feed in front of anyone but them though. I remember it was weird seeing how far your nipple sucked out, shocking actually

Just been out and bought an electric tommee tippee pump as it was half price in mothercare! And I got another 3oz which oh is going to give him at 11! Just got to show him how to warm a bottle up!! Fingers crossed this works and I get some sleep!

Well sleep I didn't get any extra of as explained in my OH rant!!! Roll on the weekend when my mum is back from her cruise and she is stopping over and I can sleep then if I survive that long!
