OMG..I am soooo tired! Maky did not get to sleep till past 3am! Her teeth are just killing her..and everyone that's in the vicinity is suffering as well! The only reason I am up is I promised to watch a friend's 18 month old girl this morning. How I'm gonna get thru this day is beyond me... Just want to list the symptoms of Maky's teething as I do not recall the other two having such a hard time. I also noticed what appears to be a broken blood vessel in her right eye from what...I have no idea.

- slight fever off/on throughout the day(give her tylenol)
- constantly chewing on her fingers
- appetite is up and down
- restless, can't seem to get comfortable...especially at night she will toss turn..roll..arch her back and sniff legged
- miserable..and I stress miserable pretty much all day and all night
- pulls at ears...rubs her nose and eyes alot like there is something irritating them
- cries all the time ...wimpers at night...and screams if I put her down when shes awake

Just feel so horrible for her..should I take her to the doctor? Or just wait and see. Is there anything else I can do besides tylenol..there isn't alot on the market here for teething pain in town. Please help!

Yup they all sound like teething :-(

Have you tried teething powders? They are especially good for calming them down before bed - I used to give to Izzy once she was laid in bed, although she doesnt need it now she has her amber necklace.

The other thing, not sure what its called over there - its over the counter here called Anbesol - liquid anaesthetic to rub on the gums - works much better than the teething gels http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=1008&storeId=90&productId=323919&langId=-1

Oh bless the pair of you, no fun at all. I think maybe it would be worth a trip to the docs and maybe then to the dentist just to rule out anything else.

Hey hun...have ordered the amber necklace from ebay! Have heard mention of teething powders from you ladies...but they do not offer them here. We have a product that numbs..called orajel, but she spits it out and I know from experience that stuff is terrible. Where can I get these teething powders? If not for this time round...perhaps for the next time. She looks like a little orphaned waif child..so sad. Crying or Very sad

It doesnt look like they do it in Canada/US, which is odd.

Had a quick look for sellers here that would ship to you , not cheap

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/6-x-Ashton-and-Parsons-Infant-Teething-Powders-x-20-/140371668094?pt=UK_Baby_Baby_Feeding_Dummies_Pacifiers_Teething_Aids

£27 for 6 boxes of 20, so around $CAD44

Depends how many you use - even if you used it each nap time and bed thats say 3 a day, so that above would last 40 days

Awww thanks hun! xxx I am going to order some from ebay because you all swear by this stuff. Any particular brand that comes highly recommended...and I wonder why Canada doesn't have this stuff?

you can give them as many sachets as you want. its a bit tricky getting it in their mouth but you will get the hang of it. i pretend to put Cerys's juice bottle in her mouth and as soon as she opens wide i drop one in Twisted Evil
