We got our virgin HD + box the other day (a week late due to weather!). We pay £45 a month for all the channels including HD (well not sports or movies), free landline calls 24/7 and internet. Free installation (well because we are just upgrading I suppose its already installed) & £49 for box.
I nearly chose sky as their box was free, and Id get the M&S vouchers but I had a sky seller out a few mths back who was a rude poncy twat to me and to make a point didnt want to switch, plus virgin explained they always own the box so if its faulty even after 12mths they replace it whereas with sky you have to buy replacement/pay for repair.
Anyway virgin just posted the HD+ box to us with an HDMI lead for us to set up. We can only manage to get it to work by using a skart & HDMI lead so im pretty sure we have it hooked up wrong. Im not even convinced the HD is working, even my OH cant tell. To me that proves that HD is a bit of a con if we cant even fricking tell and our constantly flicking between sky1 and sky HD debating if someone looks spottier
. Wish Virgin had came and set it up properly, we are probably paying for HD and not even using it!
