so today is my last day of antibiotics.. i get my post with a letter
from hospital and gp with a prescription in ..saying dear emma here a a
script for you as you have been taken the wrong kind of tablets and it
wont clear your infection... NO shit thats why im still in pain and
everything else :(i have now been bleeding heavily for over 7 days!!

the thing is have asked them twice and my gp if the tablets im on are right and they replied yes

WTF i would be changing doctors thats rediculous!

it was the hospital that gave me wrong tablets a consultant!! so i have taken them all week and my gp sends me the letter saying the hospital contacted them! i saw my gp monday!!!! and she asked which ones i was on and said they where fine!! i am now going back at 11 to see whats going on!

I feel really sorry that your in pain and bleeding hun, but can I play devils advocate here??

When antibiotics are needed we nearly always give a 'broad spectrum' one which basically means it 'should' kill most types of bacteria. If problems persist then a sample is taken of either the wound, or blood, or wee etc and it is sent to the lab for analysis to find out the exact antibiotic for your problem. This can take anywhere upto a week depending on the bacteria (some take longer to grow etc). We cant send every problem to the lab, because im sure you would be even more peed off if we said go home with your infection and we will give you drugs in a weeks time.

In a way im hoping this is whats happened hun, because that is the correct process (pain in the arse, but correct!), and its not that they have just messed you around!

The antibiotic i was given told me it would clear up my uti ! First and for most which they had test results too ! And that they would also clear a womb infection ! The letter states the antibiotic given for my uti will not clear it and it was wrong ! Thay have said its there mistake ! But why im confused isni went to hospital twice and gp amd was asked what i was on and to b told they where right amd its just my body and will settle ! This is what makes me mad as i get told its all normal and the pain is recovory still and the bleeding when obviosly it isnt ! Its very frustrating when i just want to get on
