hasn't put their christmas decs/tree up yet? To be fair I was supposed to be getting new sofas tomorrow so for them to get them in safely I thought it best not to put the tree up till they were in place. However apparently we aren't getting them till next tuesday now so I can't wait that long (can I? ). Problem I have is the only place I can put the tree is in the way when the sofas come so will mean taking it down and moving it and because I am so fussy I will end up having to totally redecorate the thing Arrrgghh!! bloody DFS! I just cannot get into the christmas mood without my decs up xx

we bought a little tree to put on the dining room table so the kids can't pull it over...but tbh we've not even put that up yet we go down south on sunday(weather permitting) so doesn't seem worth going to too much effort

we have decided not to bother as we are in the middle of packing so theres no point in buying a tree, then having to pack it at new year, maybe next year (with a toddler!)

If it makes you feel better..we just put ours up this past weekend..and it really didn't take long. Probably spent a total of 2 hours decorating the tree, mantle, and window. Was easier and faster than I remember. xxx

Lol Jen - I don't know why because I normally look forward to putting mine up but this year I just can't muster the enthusiasm . It will honestly take me all day my my two little tear aways taking down what I put up but I think I might give myself a huge kick up the bum and do it tomorrow. xx

xx Some years I literally "force" the Christmas spirit hun..so I totally get where you are coming from..here's some Christmas getcha in the mood pointers a - drink..drink something with booze in it..perhaps two or three..spiced egg nog with rum is very yule tide-ish! b- play some Bing Crosby Christmas music..or..if feeling really down...the Boney M Christmas album..works like a charm! c- Watch a really sappy old black and white Christmas movie..like - It's a wonderful life..or Scrooge... If you try all three..not in any particular order..I guarantee..you will get that Christmas spark! Hugs to ya! xxx |
